"Hah, finally done!" I say after unpacking my last bag.

I look around the room, feeling proud of myself for setting up the room successfully.

And I get pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was! Because even after I'm done keeping everything in place, there's still room for more!

And just then my phone rings.

"Hello"

"Hey Ulka! done with your packing?"

"Yeah Mom, finally done!"

"Good! How do you like your room?"

"It's great, honestly. Its very spacious, there's proper ventilation and even a veranda, so there will be no problems in hanging clothes!"

"Glad to hear that. Your father has spoken with the uncle, he said that there will be no problems! There is security as well, so no need to fear"

"Yeah! This is much better than a hostel!"

"Is the bathroom good? Did you check if all the taps are working or not?"

"Mom didn't you already check that??"

"Yeah, but still always make sure that there is water supply. If not call that uncle immediately! You have his number right?"

"Yeah, besides he is always downstairs. I don't think it will be that much of a problem."

"Did you check the gas and the stoves?"

"Ugh yeah I did, they are fine. I just made myself some fried rice!"

"Good! And always double check if the stove is turned off or not!"

"Oh god Mom!! I'm not a kid, I know!!"

"Hahaha...you will always be a kid in our eyes, Ulka. Plus, this is your first time being outside your home...and even a new city!"

"Yeah..."

"Sorry me and your dad had to come back so quickly...both of us, wanted to stay a little bit longer..."

"No, it's fine! Besides, you guys had an emergency so...Anyways is everything good now?"

"Yeah, your dad managed it all. But you know, we are both getting older now, it's getting difficult for your dad to manage our business all alone."

"Hmm..."

"Anyways, leave it. When will your classes begin?"

"From Monday~"

"Oh great! Then relax for these two days now! And don't forget to eat properly, okay?"

"Yeah yeah sure"

"Goodnight Ulka, love you."

"Love you too, Mom. Goodnight!"

After the phone call ends, I decide to make myself a warm cup of tea and enjoy the night breeze from the verandah.

The night was calm, the city lights blinked from afar like the stars in the sky. The view was so beautiful, I thanked my dad in my mind for finding a room like this, far from the hustle bustle of the city. This place was practically all I could ever wish for, even the university was at a walking distance!

The only downside would be that this apartment has no lift, so I would have to use the stairs to climb 5 floors!

However, this view just overweighed the cons.

The cool breeze hit my skin, as I took a sip from my cup of tea.

Although, there was a soft pain that ached my heart- it was the pain of leaving my home of 18 years.
