6-The missing bra

"Can I sleep in your room tonight?"

"Yeah sure. I don't mind at all" Shivani answers.

I hold her hand and thank her.

"It's fine really Ulka...you are like my little sister"

"My college starts from Monday...Once the classes start, I will start looking for a good place"

"Well, I have already checked this area. You won't find a cheap apartment like this. There are only complexes but you know how costly they are for a single person. But you will get PGs and hostels."

"I don't know...I will have to figure out something now"

"Do your parents know?"

"No...I didn't tell them. They are already occupied with so much, I don't wanna trouble them" I say, tears swelling at the corner of my eyes.

Shivani pats on my back and says, "Cheer up, dear! It's gonna be fine"

I return her smile and thank her again.

I spent that night in Shivani's room.

She offered me the bed and said that she could manage on the sofa but I refused, I can't possibly trouble her like that.

But Shivani was persistent and we both ended up sleeping in the drawing room where she laid her bedsheets down beside the sofa.

"You are really!!"

"Hahaha...Its fine, besides, we can have a little girl's talk until we fall asleep~"

"Heyy that sounds fun"

"So do you have a boyfriend?"

"Nope. What about you?"

"Mine's complicated."

"Why??"

Then she sighs and replies...

"I'm divorced"

"What!? I'm sorry for asking"

"Don't be...It's all in the past now."

"Hmm..."

I decide that it would be best to change the conversation now.

"So what do you put on your skin, its so clear~~"

"Haha I don't really do that much, just wash my face with Ctphil facewash and moisturize from time to time."

"No way, your skin's so clear and spotless"

"Well your skin is good too. You don't have any visible acnes"

"Haha but I struggle with something else..."

"What is it?"

I creep closer to her and lift up my chin to show a dark patch full of small dots.

"What is this?"

"Its a chronic skin condition I have, its called seborrheic dermatitis."

"Oh got it, I know what this is. It's the same thing you get on your head as in for dandruff right?"

"Yeah!!! I am so glad that you know!!"

"Did you consult a derma"

"Yeah many of them. It goes away with treatment and again comes back." I sighed.

"I can suggest you a good doc if you want."

"Yes, please!!"

"Okay, I will give you her contact tomorrow. But for now go to sleep!!"
