Chapter - 10

~Flashback~

After playing in water for a while, ishan unwillingly get out of the lake under Shubman's stern graze and went towards his tent to change his clothes.

He was busy changing his clothes when, he heard some talking near his tent, it was a girl's voice.

"You know i'm jealous of ishan, he got everything even such handsome brother. I would give anything to be in ishan's place..."

She is probably one of his classmates

He soon heard a boy's voice replying to her words with a rude tone,

"Tch...what's there to be jealous of that illegitimate child? Isn't he just a mistress's son?"

Ishan froze in a second as he heard those words. He tightened his hold on the shirt in his hands as he continue hearing,

"What the fuck are you saying?!" The girl asked in shocked and surprised voice.

"Keep your voice down! And haven't you heard rumours about the Great Gill Family? According to rumours, Mr. Gill had an extra marital affair with his secretary, who is the mother of ishan and when Mrs.Gill means Shubman sir's mom got to know about this, she poisoned herself to death,...that's why Shubman sir is not in good terms with his father and his step mother. There are also rumours that states that, Mr.Gill's secretary was already pregnant with ishan, even before he married her....who knows if he is really his son or not!"

"I really didn't know about all this..." The girl said still sounding in shock.

Soon both of them left from there, not knowing how much damage their words has caused to ishan's fragile heart.

Ishan world seems to stood still. He couldn't breath as tears start falling from his eyes. He had never heard such rude and means words for his family and himself as he was always treated like gem by everyone around him.

I-Illegitimate child? Him?! No! No! They were just talking nonsense. He is his dad's son and his mother is no mistress!

They are telling lies! Yes lies!!

Ishan covered his ears as that boys words keep ringing in his mind like a broken tape. He fall down on his knees and put his face between them before letting out painful cries.

It was too much for his pure heart, he couldn't able to stop himself from breaking down.

~Flashback End~

The only sound that can be heard inside the car was ishan's cries as he cried his heart out. Shubman clenched his jaw in anger. He felt himself boiling in rage as younger finished explaining everything to him.

"S-shub...i-im not illegitimate c-child right? My mother is not a m-mistress right? She is n-not the reason behind first mom's death right?! Please shub say something... T-they were telling lies right?!" Ishan asked while hiccuping between his cries.

Shubman immediately control his anger and looked at ishan. He can deal with those students later, first he need to calm the crying boy, whose tears are burning his heart.

Shubman cupped his cheeks and made ishan look at him. He felt someone squeezing his heart as he looked in ishan's teary eyes.

"Whatever they said, it was nothing but just a empty rumours! You are Mr.Gill's son and my precious treasure. Your mother is a great lady...so don't ever hear those peoples, they are just barking not anything else. You trust your shub right?"

Shubman tried to comfort the crying male while gently wiping his tears. Ishan held his hand that was cupping his cheeks and look at Shubman with those big eyes which is sparkling because of moist in them.
