Haley's POV
I woke up to the sun shining in my face. I smiled happily at the new day, wanting to make the most of it. Then the events of last night came crashing down on me, spoiling my good mood. I frowned, thinking about the kiss and how it was a mistake.
I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, showered, then got dressed. I picked out a black blouse with white polka dots on it. I pulled on some dark jeans, then put on a pair of white sandals. Once my hair was dry, I curled it and walked out of my room.
I headed towards the dining room to get some breakfast when Tyson walked in the back door, stark naked. I screamed and covered my eyes.
"Tyson!" I screeched.
"What?" He asked sheepishly, as if he didn't know he was naked.
"Why are you naked!" I was still covering my eyes.
"I didn't bring clothes with me last night. Come on," he replied, grabbing my hand and pulling me around the house. He stopped for a minute, then we were moving again.
"Tyson, where are we going?"
"We're here," was all he said.
I peeked out from between my fingers and saw that we were in a room, and Tyson was still standing naked. I squeaked and covered my eyes again and he chuckled. I was pretty sure that my cheeks were bright red.
"You're not embarrassed?" I asked, perplexed.
"No. Why would I be?"
"Um...maybe because somebody just saw you naked?"
"You are not just a somebody. You, are my mate, and you are everything to me."
A smile spread across my face at his words. When he said that I was his everything, it made me burst with joy.
"What are you smiling at?"
I quickly wiped the smile off my face, but it crept back on. "Nothing."
Warm hands covered mine and I gasped, not hearing him walk to me. He pulled my hands away from my eyes and I squinted them, not wanting to see any privates. When I realized he was wearing clothes, I sighed and opened my eyes all the way and took in my surroundings. His room was nothing like I expected it would be.
His walls were beige and had nothing on them. He had a California King bed in the middle of his room with black nightstands on either side of his bed. On the tables were lamps, knives, and rabbit skins. I turned my gaze to him and raised my eyebrows, putting on a smirk.
"I like to hunt," he stated coolly.
I nodded and continued looking around his room. He had a dresser with a large mirror on top of it, and he also arranged tons of deodorant and cologne off to the sides. Finally done with looking around the room, I turned back to Tyson, who was smirking at me.
"Are you done?"
"Yeah. So why did you bring me here?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno."
"Well, since I'm here, want to play twenty questions?"
"Ok. You go first."
"What's your favorite superhero?"
"Superman. What about you?"
"Spider-Man. I love him," I said. I put my hand on my chin, thinking about my next question. I backed up and sat on the bed and Tyson sat next to me.
"Do you think you'll ever love me?" Tyson asked while I was thinking.
I snapped my head to look at him and stuttered, "Wait-what?!"
"Do you think you'll ever love me," he repeated.
"I dunno, maybe," I said while shrugging my shoulders. "I get two questions now!" Tyson gave me a questioning look, not understanding. "You asked a question when it wasn't your turn, duh."
"Okay. Ask away."
"Favorite color? And...favorite food?"
"Red is my favorite color, and salmon is my favorite food. What's your favorite thing to eat?"
"It's a tie between ice cream, cake, lasagna, and egg salad sandwiches. Um...what's your favorite movie?"
"The Avengers. When did you move here?"
"Two years ago. Why weren't you here when I got here?"
"My mom sent me here three years ago, but when I couldn't find my mate, which was a year later, I left and went to search for her. I'm just glad that I came back, because I met you, and that's all that matters now." Tyson shifted closer to me as we stared deeply into each other's eyes. I drew in a shuttering breath and Tyson did the same.
He took my hand in his and smiled at me. With his other hand, Tyson cupped my cheek and leaned in, his eyes closed. I closed my eyes and our lips brushed against each other's. Butterfly's were in my stomach and were fluttering so fast that I was pretty sure that they were hornets now. I put my free hand at the back of his neck, pulling him closer to me.
Our bodies were pressed against each other and our lips are working together; like they were made for each other. Tyson licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance. But, I declined and kept them sealed. A few seconds later he licked my lips again but I still kept them shut. He growled and forced my mouth open and our tongues collided, each fighting for dominance. Eventually, I let him win and I put both of my hands on his chest. I ran my hands down then went back up and stopped when they were on his shoulders.
A few minutes later we pulled away from each other and were both smiling.
"That...was amazing," I breathed.
"Yes, it was, my blossom," Tyson said, then put his lips back on mine.
***
Tyson and I walked downstairs hand-in-hand and sat at the breakfast table. Tyson and I were in the middle of our brunch when we heard four people gasping behind us. I turned around while Tyson kept eating and I saw Henry, Lisa, Sammy, and Oliver standing in the doorway staring at us with wide eyes.
I looked at Tyson then back to my friends. "What?"
Lisa smirked and Sammy squealed, and the boys remained expressionless. "I can't believe my eyes!" Sammy screamed. "Are you two together now? When's the wedding? Can I be the maid of honor?" Sammy asked, barely stopping to take a breath.
I held up my hand. "Whoa, slow it down there Sammy. We're not married, not even engaged."
"You found your mate before any of us! I'm so jealous," Lisa muttered. Then, in a mock whisper, she said, "Even though Sammy and Henry are older than you, you found your mate before them."
Henry huffed and Sammy sighed. "Whatever. I'm just glad that you're happy now," Sammy declared.
"Come on, Blossom. Let's get out of here, it's too loud in here." Tyson pulled me out of the room and when I passed Lisa, she winked at me. I laughed and followed Tyson.
We stopped outside my room and Tyson put his hands on my shoulders, looking deeply into my eyes.
"Would you like to go on a date with me?"
I smiled. "Yes."
"Okay. I'll pick you up tomorrow at four. Wear something warm and comfortable."
"Okay, see you tomorrow!"
"Bye," he said, then walked away. I smiled and walked into my room.
