"Sweetheart, are you alright dear?" Sofia asked, snapping me away from my dazed.
"Hmm? Yeah," I smiled at Sofia.
"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked again. I shook my head.
"Well, if you need someone to talk to, you know I am here," she spoke.
Sofia is more than an owner of a cafe that I regularly to. Oftentimes, she will give us life advice that helped me a lot. She is like a grandmother I never had. She saw both Jack and I growth. We used to come here with both of our parents, but now, it is just the two of us. I
She tapped my shoulder gently and turned away to go back to the back of the counter.
"I don't understand what I am feeling, right now," I blurted. Stopping Sofia from her steps.
I looked at Sofia and she said "Oh my sweetheart." She came over beside me and rubbed my back. Probably because she saw how my eyes were glistening.
"What am I feeling, Sofia?"
"A realisation," she explained.
"What do you mean?"
"Perhaps, you should ask yourself that, dear,"
"I am not sure what to ask myself," I said.
"I think you know the answer to your questions, you just need to accept the answer as it is," she replied.
"I like... Jackson? No no no, it can't be. I have seen him with other girls, and I did not feel the way I am feeling now. I know him inside out, we are practically 2 peas in a pot. I can't be liking him in that way," I vomited out the words.
"Give yourself some time to make sense of it, dear. Come let's go, let Edward and myself send you home, the weather seems like it is going to pour," she claimed. I was too stumped too overwhelmed. Sofia took our ice cream glasses to the kitchen to wash it while waiting for Edward to arrive.
The ride back home was silent. I looked out the window but all I am observing are my thoughts and feelings. Thanking both Edward and Sofia for sending me back, I walked back to my home. I looked at Jack's house and his jeep was not there. I guess, he is still with Ashley.
I washed up, changed into my comfort clothes and started to do my readings. I did not feel like eating dinner, so I skipped dinner with my parents. Without realising, I looked out of my bedroom windows a total of 7 times to see if Jack was back home, all 7 times Jack was not home. That is weird, is everything okay? Where is he? I took out my phone to send him a text just to stop before typing anything... and asked myself... "Could it be?"
