"I got it," said Jack as I reached him.

That did not clear my confusion.

"What did you get?" asked me, hoping to clarify my confusion.

"I got it, Bella, what you could do for me, for calling me a Jackass," Jack continued.

Seriously? He had to call me in the middle of the aisle just to remind me of my punishment. This boy... Being the good sport I am, I never backed out on any of my consequences and so is Jack.

"Fine, what about it? How are you intending to embarrass me now?" I asked.

"Oh Jingle-Bella, I am not going to embarrass you, not now.. You are going to be a jingle-bell fairy for me and... the new girl," he continued.

"You know, I do not want to be a matchmaker between you and a girl, whenever it ends badly, they will always come to me crying, it's a whole lot of D-R-A-M-A," I whined. It is true, it only took me one experience to match Jack with a girl from a nearby school to leave me traumatised. Apparently, Lisa, the girl from a nearby school was left heartbroken because this Jack-ass decided to ghost her. The poor girl waited in front of our school gate almost every day to see Jack and seek clarification but to no avail. Feeling bad, I approached her one of the days to apologise and told her that Jack was no longer interested in her and she deserved a better man. She only left after whining so loudly that I had to hug her to muffle her cries.

"I know and I am sorry for that, but aren't we lucky that she was not from this school?" he said.  Now, was he really sorry for what he had done? I am not sure.

"No Jack, I can't take the risk anymore, that one experience was enough," I rebutted.

"Look this time, I am serious because just think about it, the new girl is from the same school as us, what makes you think I will tarnish my reputation in this school? IF I want to end it, I WILL end it nicely. Furthermore, I am not going to ruin your friendship with a new classmate, would I? I will not put-"

"Wait, wait, wait, the new girl, you are referring to, it's Ashley?" I clarified as I gathered the information.

"Ahh, so her name is Ashley. Yes Bella, Ashley is the one," Jack said.

"Hmm, I don't know, Jack. Something is off about her, and I can't put my fingers to it yet," I shared.

"So help me with her, and I will be the one putting your finger on what is off about her," pleaded Jack.

I sighed, "I will see what I can do, NO PROMISES though!" I said as I walked away from him and straight into my next lesson.

"You are the best ISABELLA MARSHALL, MY JINGLE BELL FAIRY," Jack screamed as I walked away from him.

I am not sure, but my heart felt heavy as I entered the classroom and saw Ashley seated beside me... again. It seems like I can't run away from her.

"Are you alright, Bella?" asked Ashley.

"Yes, I am alright, thank you," as I seated and smiled at Ashley. Ashley was being sweet with me, asking how I was, but I couldn't just shake this bad feeling. Perhaps, I am just new to this situation of Jack wanting me to match-make someone in the same school as me and my classmate.  I shook my head and prepared for the class.
