It was Archie, a boy Sophie knew from her old school. He always looked so sweaty, and Amelie and Sophie didn't like him that much.
" uh, your in the way Amelie." He said annoyed, then looked at Sophie.
" um, whatever" he ran away and they looked back.
" I'm gonna go get a pizza" Sophie yawned.
Ayera was back within an instant.
Amelie looked over.
" well?" She said.
" she won't talk to me! I don't know what we've done, and I tried talking to pheobe but all she said was 'it's not about you' like OBVIOUSLY it's about us!" Ayera sat at a random table and looked to the floor.
" where's Sophie?" She then saw Sophie walking towards them with a hand full of pizza.
" hey, what did she say?"
" nothing" Ayera sighed.
Sophie looked at Amelie.
" maybe we should speak to a teacher about it?" Amelie said, thinking of what to do.
Ayera turned up her head.
" we could try that!"
" I saw ms malin walk by earlier, I think she's in the office. Wanna check?" Sophie asked.
They all nodded.
Sophie led them to the office but they were shocked. There was no teacher- AT ALL! Even the receptionist wasn't there.
Sophie gasped.
" this doesn't make sense! The receptionist never leaves her office, and I saw her today when I was logging out for my brace appointment!" Sophie looked confused.
" should we try the year 7 office? It's the nearest from here and I'm not bothered to walk to the year 9 office or anything." Ayera suggested.
" teachers are usually never in there anyway, not once have I seen ms Malin and mr Sillitoe even step in there" Sophie pointed out.
" how about we-"
Riiiiiing!
A noise louder then anything cut Amelie off within an instant. They all looked up at the tv in the main canteen.
The news showed, and the three were stunned at what they saw. It said that war had been waged in their country!
" what the!" Suddenly I voice sounded from the big microphones in the lobby, " everyone evacuate to the nearest bunker in your area, now! There is no time to waste. Please stay calm, and avoid trying to get anything from your house, school or car: there will be stuff in the bunkers such as guns, food, supplies to stay alive for the next 2 weeks." A static voice rang out. Every kid looked at each other and ran for the school bunkers. " let's go!" Amelie, Sophie and Ayera darted out of the school within seconds.
