The kitchen is a cozy , well used small place clearly reflects the sophisticated personality of the person to whom it is belonged. The aroma of garlic and herb fills the air. The sun is setting in the sky.
Jungkook glances at the clock, stirring the pasta. Its almost time for Taehyung to get back. Jungkook always have extra key of the apartment. He usually comes to Tae's apartment before his arrival in the evening and cooks him food. Jungkook will be the next CEO of his father's company. He does not need to do any part time job. He got no worries of the money. He can spend as much as he wants. He wanted to support Taehyung financially too but Taehyung is such a gentleman he wants to grow on his own. Now the least Jungkook can do is make dinner for his best friend so that he doesn't have to do it after a tiresome day. Jungkook's dad shouts at him for not caring to come home for dinner and he calls him irresponsible brat but Jungkook has no care for his harsh words. Jungkook is only concerned about one person and that person happens to be Taehyung.
Jungkook hums the tune as he moves around settling the table for two.

Just as the front door creaks open.
Smile spreads on Taehyung's energy drained face as he see his best friend after a long long day. He drops his bag on the floor and kicks off his shoes.

Jungkook came forward spreading for Tae , a gesture of hug. Taehyung quickly closed the distance and Jungkook wraps his arms around him, pulling him in a tight hug. Taehyung buries his face in crook of Jungkook's neck and inhales his scent. "I missed you", Tae muffles. "I missed you too", Jungkook says a little softly. They hold each other for a long moment, all the exhaustion washes away. Slowly Jungkook pulls back and politely says "you must be starving, let's get you something to eat",
Taehyung pulls him back "pls just stay like this for a little longer", "of course, we've got all the night", Jungkook says while caressing Tae's back.

After they're done with dinner and Jungkook was about to leave because he's getting a lot calls from his father that he wants to talk about something important and Jungkook should be home in less than ten minutes.

"Stay please", tae has become more sensitive than he already was and wants to be around Jungkook all the time.

"Baby I have to, please understand", Jungkook replies to him even though he's reluctant to leave too.
"Please", Tae says with tears in his eyes, tae doesn't know himself why he's acting this way. Jungkook can't say no to him now and he decided to stay for the night and will see whatever worst could happen between him and his dad after not obeying him in the morning.
Seeing him giving in, Tae puts his head in Jungkook's lap and drifts to sleep peacefully. He was unable to get sound sleep due to over thinking for many days. Jungkook smiles at innocent figure and carries him to the bedroom. Jungkook places Tae on bed, switches of the lights and hop on the bed beside him.
Jungkook's phone dings with text. He takes his phone from side table and saw a text message from Lily asking for help in few topics. He has been feeling bad after denying her many times before when she has been nothing but sweet to him. He agrees to help her in the evening and puts phone back. He hugs Tae and soon the room was filled with soft snores of the two boys.
