That night, as Raiu slept, he found himself in the room. Every night, he found himself here. He stood in front of the door as he stared at it. “Travel to different worlds, huh?” He asked himself, remembering what the voice had said.
As he took the door knob in his hand, he felt the cool brass twist under his guidance, and it swung open.
As Raiu walked through the door, it disappeared. The voice spoke. "This is the dream realm. Here, you will train your powers, travel to different worlds, and make new friends.....and enemies. Once you have helped what you needed to help with, their world will merge into yours, making it as if they were always there. This wasteland is filled with abandoned tech and destroyed cities. But be weary, monsters roam these lands day and night. If you die, you'll wake up and be locked out of the room for three full days. You will leave the room when you wake up." Raiu felt a sudden weight on his back. “This is a duffel bag full of necessary survival gear. Don't lose it, it won't be replaced.”
As soon as the voice finished, a monster appeared from under the dirt. It was as tall as a medium house and had two pincers, a scorpion stinger, dragonfly wings, spider legs, nine eyes, a lion's body, a thick exoskeleton, and was all black.
"Oh.....that's why he said good luck." Raiu said as he drew his swords and spun them in his hands before dashing forward. His left sword flashed orange as a small dot of the same color appeared on the ground. As he stepped in front of it, it detonated and flung him into the air in front of the creature.
As Raiu was in the air, the monster swung its large stinger forward, trying to pierce him in the chest. Raiu swung his left sword forward, blocking the strike and flipping himself over the tail. As he went up and started to come back down, his right sword flashed yellow and several small yellow dots went flying towards the creature's head, destroying its thick exoskeleton and exposing its skin. The creature roared as it felt the air on its soft flesh. It began to thrash around, swinging its pincers and hitting Raiden in the side, sending him flying into the ground, leaving a small trail of dirt as blood seeped from his mouth and nose.
Raiu stood up and stared at the creature. As it began to charge towards him, his left sword flashed white as a large blue spear appeared in front of him. He grabbed it and jumped into the air before throwing it, sending it flying towards the weak point, creating a small blue explosion at the point of impact. As he landed and the monster laid dead, he heard something streaking across the sky. A satellite was falling through the air and heading for the ground. When it hit, it took a few seconds for the loud BOOM to echo through the world around Raiu. As Raiu approached the crater, he met no other resistance. Once at the edge, he slid down the burnt ground and approached the downed satellite. He was confused on what it all meant. ‘New worlds? Abandoned tech? Destroyed cities? Is this all real?' Raiu thought as he sighed and saw a handle attached to a door. When he opened it, a small capsule popped out. When it hit the ground, it shattered and a blue smoke filled the air. As Raiu tried to get away, he felt heavy, heavier, yet heavier. Until he couldn't move and fell to the ground, his eyes closing.
~Two hours later~
When Raiu came to, the sun in the sky was about three fourths of the way across, meaning it was about six. As he sat up, he rubbed his head. It hurt. It hurt like hell! 'Why does it hurt?! And why am I sitting around? I should be scavenging for resources to get off this world.' He thought as he approached the satellite, beginning to strip it of parts he could fashion into tools. As he left the crater, he found a small group of dead trees a little ways off. He decided that would make decent wood for a shelter. As he walked towards the trees, he pushed his swords out to his side as they split into the ten glowing ones. He began to cut down the trees with the swords, clearing away unwanted branches in the way of his real prize. When the work was finally done, the sun had almost set, meaning he should probably find a place to hide for the night.
