Most people believe that first love is the most difficult to forget. Some people might not remember their first love at all. Some will gladly tell stories. And some choose to forget it. However, how many first loves achieve happiness in the end? Do they love each other? Or simply one-sided?

Battista couldn't bring himself to blink his eyes at the guy who was dancing with an expression of appreciation. His body is smooth and fluid, making each movement interesting. He didn't know what had him speechless. Whether it's the dancing or the handsomeness and beauty of the black-brownish hair's male.

Robert seemed to see the look on Battista's face, which made him smile sarcastically. He murmured something to the man standing next to him before the man walking away.

Battista, on the other hand, is still stunned. Perhaps something had exploded inside him. Or perhaps the dancer's face never left his mind.

When the dancer looked at Battista, their gazes connected. Battista felt as if they were the only ones around at the time. He was absolutely unaware of what was going on until he heard a clap and saw the dancer go to the back stage.

"So that's your taste."

Battista looked at Robert. He knew who the man was referring to. So, he did not respond. He simply shifted his position.

"Wine?" Robert raised an already full glass of wine.

Battista frowned. He didn't see how the wine was pour into the glass. He gazed at Robert. "No thanks."

Robert laughed. He understood why Battista did not want to drink it for the risk that it could been poisoned. It's a frequent guideline in the mafia world. All sorts of things can occur.

Battista gazed at someone right then. The male dancer who had surprised him earlier approached their table, followed by a man. When Robert saw Battista's reaction, he smiled, satisfied and proud.

"Well, this is our new dancer." Robert introduced them. "It's expensive to pay him to work here."

The male glanced at Battista with a smile that no one could read. Just like Battista, he couldn't keep his gaze away from the man. And people have yet to learn why.

"This is Battista. The leader of the Arquette's group," Robert informed the male dancer.

"Who doesn't know?" The dancer extended his hand for a handshake. "I did not believe the rumour. But, you're trully handsome."

Even this guy's compliment didn't excite Battista. Nonetheless, he greeted the guy's hand.

"You should join us." Robert spoke to the dancer.

He did not object. He simply laid his back close to Battista. Usually, the man refuses. But this time, he couldn't do it.

"So, Battista..." Robert smiled broadly. As if he was finally on the winning side. "We should open a centre in—"

"I stand by my decision." Battista spoke. "It won't change."

Robert took a long breath. He did not believe Battista was too difficult to soften. Battista's face became frigid again. He was aware that the dancer seated next to him was watching him.

"You know this—"

BANG!

A loud sound coming from nowhere. Robert gasped in pain as he held his chest, not knowing where the shot had come from. Battista widened his eyes. Fort, Battista's head guard and right-hand man, quickly drew the man.

At that point, Battista, who appeared to have just awoken from a dream, noticed something. His hand reflexively shoved the hand that had taken out the knife fiercely. Fort's eyes met the dancer's before he swung his leg to kick him but missed.

Someone screamed, "Boss!"

Weapons were drawn, and shots began to fly from everywhere. All of Battista's people, including Robert's, began to be alert and point their guns. People started running away.

"Silent sniper!" Fort exclaimed as he dragged Battista for shelter.

Battista looked around. Robert was already deceased and clearly covered in blood. At that point, he noticed the male dancer swinging a knife at him.

He knew Fort had to keep him safe from any shots. So, he had to defend himself from this dancer. His hand swiftly grabbed the dancer's arm. It wasn't long until the dancer launched another move, forcing the knife to cut through his sleeve. Battista has just awoken. This dancer are more than just a performer.

Battista swung the kick. But, the guy can avoid it. They both began fighting. This male dancer, just like Battista, is truly amazing at fighting. People are still determining why this things is happening.

"Boss! Get out!" screamed one of the guards, who was now holding Battista's shirt, prompting the man to rush towards the back door with him.

Unfortunately, before they could reach the door, they were attacked. The man had to fight and instructed Battista to flee first. Battista didn't waste any time. It is not because he is unconcerned about his people. But he knows he has to survive. The Arquette's have no heirs. He's the only one left.

Battista kicked his legs back forcefully, knowing he was being pursued. The knife in the dancer's hand slid to the floor, away from him. The dancer giggled for some reason. He charged towards Battista, intending to attack him. Battista did not sit still either. He avoided and counter-attacked.

Unexpectedly, the dancer reached for the gun behind Battista and pointed it at the man. Battista nearly swore. Why did he forget he had a gun stashed away?

"Next time... You have to remember you have a weapon." The dancer said this as he pulled the trigger.

Battista stood idly by. He wears a bulletproof vest on the inside. However, if the dancer shot him in the head, he would die.

They have no idea how long they spent just staring at each other. Gunshots and screaming can still be heard plainly in that area. Battista frowned at the man. The dancer should have killed him already. Why is there still no action?

The dancer only stared at Battista. His finger was already on the trigger. He just needs to pull it. He is not sure what's stopping him. As if something was keeping him from doing so.

Battista unexpectedly laughed. "What are you waiting for?"

Yes. What exactly are the dancer waiting for? Why didn't he kill Battista? That seems to have been the intention from the beginning.

Before the dancer could react, his body lurched, and he fell to the floor, unconscious. Fort appeared behind him with a stun gun. Some of Battista's men returned, aiming their weapons at the unconscious dancer.

"Don't kill him." Battista spoke harshly. "We need answers."
