Timeline: Flashback to Percy and the others fighting Gaia

Percy's POV:

Yeah we did not have a plan. What plan could we possibly do to achieve victory? None. So I went with my instincts, dodging and weaving. I knew that we would inevitably lose but we plan to stall her and make an impact. Maybe we could even try summoning the gods to help. Though that might not help much as Gaia explicitly stated that only another primordial power can defeat her.

"Dad if you can hear me please send help. Or better yet, get those lazy Olympians to come down with you to help us."

In Olympus:

All the 14 Major Gods were present in the throne. Even Hades was there. They all looked serious and you could literally see Athena's head steaming, trying to find a way to beat Gaia once and for all.

"For all you know she could be lying and just tanked the damage father." Ares said, for once no longer happy when the bloody war was happening.

"As I said already you big oaf, Gaia is most likely telling the truth. That explosion would have sent anyone of us to tartarus to reform and Gaia was still weak then. She couldn't have possibly just 'tank' the damage as you say." Athena with a grim look on her face.

"Father please let us go down and help them. All my children are dyi-" Hermes pleaded

"No."

"Why?"

"First off the ancient laws state that we cannot interfere. Secondly, the prophecy specifically states that one of the seven will defeat Gaia so we should just wait it out. Also if we go out there we will most likely be seriously injured, possibly sent to Tartarus for reforming." Zeus said in a surprisingly calm voice. But inside he felt defeated, he rather spend his last moments resting instead of fighting.

"To Tartarus with the ancient laws. Gaia, a primordial, has risen, thus we should be able to fight. Secondly, the prophecy didn't say anything against us helping them. Also, those demigods-" Suddenly Poseidon received the prayer from Percy. He suddenly stood up and announced, "I'm leaving for battle, who's with me?" Many gods, even Hestia who was usually peaceful, went with him but only Zeus and Hera remained.

"YOU CANNOT GO! THAT'S AN ORDER FROM YOUR KING!" Zeus thundered.

"OUR CHILDREN ARE DYING! MY SON IS DYING! IF YOU THINK I'M JUST GOING TO SPECTATE THAN YOUR SORELY MISTAKEN!" Poseidon roared back, clearly having enough of Zeus's nonsense. Then he and the other gods flashed away for battle. Zeus slumped in his throne, mulling over his brother's words.

"Hera, my dear, prepare for battle."

Gaia was faster than any of them. She simply teleported around killing demigods faster than Percy could blink. The demigods that had turned over to her side suddenly started fighting against the demigods that have not turned over. Their eyes were pure green and they had armor made of earth. They fought so expertly that even Percy had trouble fighting against one of them. And at this point, their powers were about as functional as that one time Leo made a cube that was supposed to be a hologram. Instead it sprouted wires and electrocuted Leo. Thinking about Leo and his sacrifice made Percy even more angry. His sacrifice will not be in vain.

Percy fought with renewed vigor, trying to find a way to bring back these new and not-so improved demigods to their senses. Annabeth went to his side and they fought like demons, helping each other with the other's blind spots.

"Just like the old times seaweed brain." Annabeth fending off the controlled demigods.

Percy grimaced as they were pushed back. The remaining of the seven weren't doing any better. Hazel tried using the mist but it kept failing. She also tried pulling gems from the ground but could not. Frank shapeshifting did no damage to the demigods and he decided not to use shapeshifting anymore to save his energy. Piper's charmspeak had no effect and Jason's lightning powers were absorbed and deflected back at them. Nico tried using his remaining skeletons to fight the demigods and when he ran out, he tried summoning more to no avail. All their weapons deflected off their enemies' skin as if it were the Nemean Lion. There were forced into the middle of the enemies, surrounded and had no hope. Gaia, who had already finished killing the other demigods smiled menacingly at them and gloated, I will watch you die slowly from my minions. I do not want to waste my time with you.
