Chapter 8

I had my hoodie up as I walked towards the school. I heard a loud high pitch sound coming towards me. I was attacked by Gwen hugging me tightly. "Uhh hi Gwen." I hadn't patch things up with her yet, I'm not sure why she was hugging me. Maybe she's trying to kill me with a death grip, she is really strong and she had a smile on her little blonde face. "Wade just told me you and him are finally together." She said happily and grabbed my face only to push it away as she did a happy spin. I couldn't help but smile, she's so cute. "Hey I don't think I ever apologized for missing that presentation." I scratched my neck. "Oh, yeah I explain and the teacher said it was fine and I got to do one by myself after school and I obviously passed." She said and went into the school. I followed her to our lockers that were close together. "So like what do you and Wade even do together?" I cleared my thoart as I unlocked my locker. "Don't worry, he's not going to cheat on you, all he does is talk about you." I hid my blushing face in my locker. She pulled it opened more and the smile on her face made me blush more. The bel rang loudly saving me. I pulled my bag on my shoulder and quickly walked behind Gwen.

Gwen hasn't left my side since school ended. I was sitting in my room working on some spidey stuff on a notepad and she was doing her homework on my desk. I'm not sure why she was being so clingy today. I mean I did miss her and I loved her company but I need spider time. Captain came in my open door. "So Gwen you stay for dinner?" He asked and glanced to me confused as to why she was still here too. Gwen was a nerd and I don't say it to be rude or anything but she's a nerd an she loves her grades. She never stayed past 4:30, cause she lays out her clothes for the next day, gets her hair and makeup stuff ready, gets all her homework done, make sure her rooms tidy, helps her mom with dinner or her brother, she packs her lunch, she does so much at night. "No, thanks I should actually get going." She started packing her stuff. I swear I heard angels singing. I got off my bed and walked her out. She had her car, she hugged me tightly leaving my body aching a little. "Bye Petey." "Bye Gwen."I waved and rubbed my sore neck. I watched as she drove off. I got back up to the kitchen. Dinner was served. I sat at it. It was an oddly quiet night. Tony looked tired and strung out. "So how was everyone's day?" I asked not looking at them. "Fine, why?" Cap lifted an eyebrow at me. "No reason, just quiet." I shrug and took another bite. "Peter everything is fine." Tony spoke as he held his temple. "Well I don't understand why you guys still need to lie. I mean I think I can handle hearing about Avenger stuff." They exchanged looks. "Everything is good. Now tell us what's going on with Gwen." Cap ordered. "I don't understand what you mean Gwen is great. There's nothing wrong with her." I was looking Captain in the eye. "I just thought she seemed different." He glanced down at his food then back at me. I dropped my fork and it hit my plate echoing through the quiet room. "What do you mean?" I asked squinting a bit trying to recall anything weird. He glanced back at Tony. "What?" I raised my voice. "It's nothing just a computer error probably." Tony mumbled staring at his food as he pushed it around. "You don't make errors." My foot started to panicky tap. "Jarvis couldn't recognize her." Tony whispered. "What? It was Gwen." I almost yelled. "Peter, Jarvis is restarting an he's going to do security and see if it was just an error. No ones saying it wasn't Gwen." Steve touched my arm and I jumped up. I ran into my room and pulled my clothes off and was left in my suit. I grabbed my backpack. I pulled my mask on and jumped out of the window. I can not leave the Stacy's there if that isn't Gwen. I got to their building. I quickly threw clothes on. I rang and told Mrs. Stacy that Gwen left some homework at my house. I quickly ran up the stairs an knocked on the door. "Hi, Peter." She hugged me. "Where's Gwen?" "In her room." I nodded an smiled and went to Gwen's room. I knocked and walked in. "Gwen?" I looked around the dark room. I flicked the light on. The room was empty. The window was opened. I grabbed my phone. Wade called me on the way here. I called him back. "Hey Spider Baby." "Hey Wade. Have you seen Gwen?" I asked. "Are you still being jealous?" I could feel his smile. "This is important." "Yeah, okay she's here. She passed out through. Is it just me or is she acting weird today?" "What do you mean?" I asked and closed her window. "She's hugging my neck not my waist." "Oh my god. I'm on my way over." I hung up.

I was webbing over to Wade's as I called my dads. "Peter where are you?" Captain was pissed. "I'm on my way to Wade's." "What no! It's a school night!" He yelled. "No Gwen's there and he agrees she acting weird." "Why is Gwen with Wade?" Tony spoke up. "They hang out sometimes." "What? Why?" Steve asked. "I don't know, they never tell me." I mumbled. "Jarvis is back up now. We'll tell you what's going on when we figure it out." "Okay." I hung up. I dropped on Wade's porch. I pulled clothes on and knocked on the sliding door. He smiled and opened the door. We kissed. I saw Gwen sitting on the couch. "Pete get out." He mumbled against me. "Wade." I whispered. "Catch yourself." "What?" I glint of metal caught my eye. She had a gun. Wade pushed me off the balcony. I webbed up and caught myself one foot from the ground. I dropped to the
ground. "Where is he?!" Gwen yelled. I ran into the alley. I called my dads. "Peter?" Steve sounded relieved. "That's not Gwen." I spoke quickly as I ran. I felt something coming towards me. I jumped down onto my stomach. I bullet hit a dumpster. "We're on our way!" Steve yelled and hung up. I was around "Gwen" followed me. She was very fast and jumpy. I got to a street and I felt another bullet coming to me. I had no where to go. I closed my eyes and I heard it cling. I opened my eyes to see Steve in suit with his shield. "Suit up." He gave me the nod. I nodded and ran off across the street. I pulled my clothes off and webbed a border for car and pedestrians. I watched as Captain fought "Gwen". Wade ran over to me getting people out. Tony was getting people out of buildings. I looked over to Cap and "Gwen." She looked at me and aimed the gun and shot. I was going to back away until I hit a building. I covered my face. I opened my arm and saw Tony there. The suit went to move and seized up. It fell over. I was quickly by his side. The bullet fit right in the small opening on the suit. "Deadpool!" I yelled. Wade ran over. He popped the face plate out. "Dad." I touched his face. I opened the suit. Wade lifted him out of it. The bullet got him in the chest. "No." I was crying now. There was police and ambulance here. They took him away to a hospital. "Peter." Wade grabbed my arm. I didn't realize I was walking over to Cap. "Just let him finish this." He held my arm. He had Gwen in handcuffs.

I had my head in my hands as I sat in the hospital hallway. Steve was in there.

(A/N: 1397 words! Yay! Not including this little note. I hope you guys like that plot twist. Sorry it took so long. I was stuck and then I started to write this plot it has so many holes but I'm going to start the next one and try and get the whole Gwen thing under control. I don't know.)
