Chapter 8 - Taking it from the start/22 weeks

Pilby looked at the office in front of him,MR's office,did he really need to go in there?,he watched as Mach and the other god's talked about him.

Since Mach was out of hospital,Pilby was clinging to her like a kicked puppy,due to his sudden size,it was easy enough to overwhelm Mach.

Pilby was given a weapon of his own,an axe,which when held,glowed the same pink and blue that the hammer did before.

As well as Mach's due date slowly approaching,they all wanted Pilby to take lessons on how and what ability's Pilby had in the first place.

The only two really confirmed was Pilby's ability to chop anything down with such strength,even at the end of the day,12 beanbags were completely destroyed by the end of it.

Another was teleportation,which most likely he got from Mach's hammer,he wished he could see his mother but...as much as he could,he couldn't...

He missed his mother,dearly,he bets that his mother would've loved to see her grandchild and daughter in law,which reminded him,he still needed to buy a ring,and with the baby soon approaching he should marry Mach as quick as possible before the baby got here.

Pilby entered the office,seeing Slimyim GLARE at him,maybeee the whole Folly thing upset them and they were upset with Pilby,but it was Folly's fault for starting it!

Pilby sat down next to Mach offering her a hand or paw,to hold which Mach gladly accepted,other arm wrapped around her bump.

MR sighed as he laid papers on the table.

"DR RETRO has came to me to give the attention that Folly has stepped out of line." MR spoke softly,he sounded tired. "as well as an incident regarding Mach's well-being." Pilby turned to Mach slightly,he didn't like the sound of this.

"Since Mach's pregnancy,due to the baby being a natural born god and is now a high risk,Pilby will be taking her place until both Mach has the baby and is stable enough to work" MR explained.

Pilby tried his best to wrap his head around it,he was going to take...Mach's place? was he even fit to do this in the first place? he was still in training so,something happened.

Pilby looked around as he was given the basics of Mach's room's,what button does what,everything,but the only thing on Pilby's mind was Mach.

Was Mach even going to be okay by herself? at all? Pilby knew Mach was capable of being okay but something plagued his mind.

Why was the baby so special?

Wallter was dreaming of a beautiful field,flowers blooming showing their pretty colors for the spring,a nice blue sky,and a light and soft breeze.

It was perfect for Wallter,drinking his tea as he put a bookmark on the book he was reading on,everything was perfect.

Until he head someone approach,he realised those footsteps.

Folly.

"Such a nice day out huh?" Folly said calmly.

"Indeed it is friend,it's a surprise you come to visit me" Wallter lied,Wallter always expected Folly to show up,even after the split,Folly was never too harsh on him,Wallter was comfort to Folly,he felt pity for them,they were just trying to do their job and what they have been force to do.

Folly sat down besides him,as Wallter poured a imaginary cup of tea.

"Me and Slimyim,split." Folly said,at least giving him some sort of answer why they showed up.

"I'm sorry to hear that dear" Wallter put a hand on their shoulder,just giving them some sort of attention they craved.

Folly looked at him in shame,gently sipping the dream tea,Folly hated this life,they wanted Wallter,they wanted to settle down and not do this shitty job and just,be with him.

Folly put the tea down before slowly hugging Wallter,which the concrete man accepted.

Folly didn't want Mark to know about this,what they're currently doing to his from ex husband to back together boyfriend.

They both looked at each other.

Eye's locking at each others stare.

They shouldn't be doing this.

Poor Mark if he ever found out.

Both their lips connected,both gently hugging each other as they kissed,Wallter stayed silent but accepted the kiss,it would be only a one time thing right?,it wouldn't hurt to try...right?

As both of them pulled apart both of them looked happy,two lost lovers who finally found each other.

"I'm sorry" Folly said

"It's...not your fault...just give me some time to think about it...as well as bring the courage to tell Mark,i do love him dearly but...we just aren't the same anymore." Wallter explained. "just give me time to think."

Folly nodded before everything went black,realising Wallter woke up.

Folly wanted to cry.

Sob.

Why can't she have something....SOMETHING.

Something that she can have at least?

Folly looked through her panels of sleeping victims.

And she saw how happy Pilby looked.

He gets everything while they get nothing.

They. hate. him.

But they decided to torment Gnarpy instead,it would be more fun to see they Gnarpian freak out again.

Mach walked around the living quarters late at night,the baby deciding to use her insides as a playground,Mach didn't really mind it,but now was getting on her nerves of how active the baby was now.

Mach went into the nursery,looking pleasantly at all the hard work Pilby and Willam did,the soft paint of pastel purple,the maroon crib,the soft grey's of closet and stationary for the baby's needs,it made her heart that was cold warm itself for once.

Mach gently sat down on the rocking chair,slowly rocking backwards and forth,up and down.

Mach enjoyed the silence,before seeing the caterpillar staring at her,Mach hummed pleasantly as he entered.

Pilby fidgeted a moment as he knelt down,head on the baby bump as Mach stopped rocking,sighing deeply,the baby finally settling down feeling their father's embrace.

"Golly...you okay?" Pilby asked,getting a tired hum from Mach.

Pilby got up,helping Mach tiredly getting back to bed.

"D'oh...I've been thinking,does Vanilla sound good to you?" Pilby asked once again.

Mach nodded in agreement as Pilby helped his pregnant girlfriend into bed.

As Mach fell asleep Pilby got the box out from the side of the draw,opening it revealed a ruby rectangle cut ring,perfect for Mach,he put the box back in the drawer.

(Hey everyone,i'm sorry for the Folly angst but i had to,the ship started growing on me and honestly how could i say no to doomed couple?,but hopefully i made up with some fluff at the end lol,also the wheel has decided the baby's name is Vanilla! next chapters i'm planning on WHOLE fluff so prepare for that! and i'll see you all in the next chapter!)
