Gaara's POV

Just like any other night, I didn't get much sleep, before getting up for another day of school. Most of the time, I tried staying awake, since I didn't want my nightmares, from when I first moved to Konoha, to come back.

Tiredly, I slumped into the kitchen and made myself a cup of coffee. Without my coffee, I'd probably fall asleep in the middle of the day, so it really was necessary.

Sipping the bitter liquid, I greeted Temari, who joined me in the kitchen, starting to prepare breakfast for Kankuro and her. I never ate in the morning, because it always made me feel like I was gonna throw up. It was way too early for eating.

At around 7:30, I made my way into the bathroom, brushing my teeth, enjoying the minty tingle of the toothpaste. After washing my face, I undressed, and stood underneath the burning hot water of my shower.

Then, I shampooed my dark red hair, that was now sticking to my forehead, rinsing out the foam soon after, before lathering my peppermint scented body wash on my pale, rosy skin. I liked the smell of mint, since it's freshness was something Suna definitely lacked, so it had always been a welcome change.

When I had rinsed that off too, I let the piping hot water run down my lean torso for a few more minutes, until I stepped out the shower, drying my hair and body off with a fluffy towel.

Since I had forgotten my clothes in my bedroom, I exited the bathroom wrapped in my towel, shivering at the still unfamiliar cold of Konoha Gakure.

Grabbing various pieces of clothing out of the drawers of my dresser, I ended up putting on a white, collared button up underneath a baggy maroon sweater, paired with loose navy jeans, that I cuffed at the bottom. To complete the outfit, I accessorized with a silver chain necklace, earrings that looked like safety pins, and tons of different silver rings.

Because I still had to wait for my hair to dry, I chose to spend my time drawing on my thick, black eyeliner. Even though I had been doing this makeup for a while now, it was still a pain in the ass to do. Every time I finally got one side right, the other pointed into a slightly different direction, so I had to redo it again.

When I was content with the results, I brushed my fingers through the red strands on my head, parting it like I usually did.

I quickly packed my bag, before leaving the house with my siblings beside me.

————————————————————————

My first lesson of the day - English with Mr. Hatake - went by rather uneventful, since I didn't know anyone in the class. The topic wasn't really interesting either, so I was happy when the bell rang, signaling the beginning of the second period, arts with a certain Mrs. Yuhi.

When I entered the arts classroom, I noticed two familiar faces. In the first row, there was the pale dude from P.E. yesterday, with a blue eyed blonde next to him. I remembered that I had seen them both sit at the table that Temari had eaten lunch at the day before. And in the back row was Naruto, with a free seat next to him.

After I had introduced myself to her, Mrs. Yuhi told me to sit down next to the blond that was currently yelling with the guy from my chemistry class - Kiba, as I remember - while the rude one silently stared at the tattooed boy. At least that's what it seemed like, from the open sides of his glasses. As soon as Naruto noticed me, he waved me over, and told me to sit down, which I did.
