I sighed inwardly for what felt like the tenth time, my discomfort evident from sitting in the chair for two hours straight. My butt was beginning to ache badly.

"What other part don't you understand?" Cyrus asked, his eyes still on the book in front of him.

"I understand it all," I murmured quietly. He nodded, closing the textbook and placing it gently on the table.

"Thank you," I managed to say, trying to keep my frustration in check.

"So... I'll drop you home," Cyrus said suddenly, catching me off guard.

"Home?" I asked, my confusion evident as I looked up at him.

"Yeah," he replied softly, rising from his seat. I stood up reflexively, taken aback by his unexpected offer.

"But... why are we here then?" I blurted out, feeling a mix of disappointment and annoyance.

"For study," he answered simply, his tone betraying no emotion. My frustration grew exponentially. Did he really think I couldn't learn Chemistry on my own, maybe even online?

"That's it? We're here just for that?" I asked incredulously, my frown deepening as I gathered my books and stuffed them back into my bag.

"Yes," he confirmed calmly, which only aggravated me further. .

"Thank you," I said, though my displeasure was evident. "And I can go home myself," I added firmly, walking past him in frustration. Seriously!

I strode out of the study room and headed for the exit. As I reached the door, I tried to open it, only to find it locked. Panic surged through me when I realized the key wasn't in sight. Had I stormed out so impulsively that I now needed to go back and ask Cyrus for the key?

Turning around, I found Cyrus standing there, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made me squirm slightly under his scrutiny.

"Uh... the keys," I managed to stammer, feeling a mix of embarrassment and annoyance at my own hasty actions.

"You want the keys?" he asked calmly, his voice cutting through the awkward silence as I nodded in response.

"Hmm," he hummed thoughtfully, stepping closer until he was directly in front of me.

"Always use words, baby girl," he said softly, his thumbs brushing against my cheeks. Heat spread across my face at his touch, betraying my reaction to him.

"Yes, I do," I replied, meeting his intense gaze, captivated by his striking green eyes.

"Are you sure you want to leave?" he asked, his hands moving to my waist, pulling me gently closer to him.

I felt speechless, overwhelmed by his proximity and the sudden rush of emotions swirling inside me.

"Um..." I struggled to form words, his presence leaving me flustered and unable to articulate my thoughts.

"Didn't hear you," he teased lightly, his lips now brushing against my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.

"No, I don't," I finally managed to say, the words escaping in a breathless whisper. I heard him chuckle softly before placing a gentle kiss on my neck, causing my heart to race even faster.

"I'll drop you," he said casually, stepping away from me and breaking the spell he had cast.

What just happened?! My mind raced with confusion and a hint of exhilaration as Cyrus walked away, leaving me standing there.
