"Wow," Ezra murmured before laughing nervously.

"Jokes, right?" he asked, his laughter echoing hollowly through the now silent room. Everyone's eyes were fixed on him and Eva. He looked at Selena, desperation and confusion clouding his eyes, before turning back to Eva.

"You're not joking?" he asked, the nervous laughter fading from his voice.

"I'm not," she replied firmly, her voice steady despite the turmoil in her eyes. Ezra glanced at his parents, who had stopped eating, their gazes heavy with concern.

"Let's talk outside," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. Eva nodded, and they walked out of the house. Ezra closed the door slowly as if trying to delay the inevitable conversation.

"Wow," Blue muttered under his breath, breaking the tense silence.

Outside, Ezra turned to face Eva, his expression a mix of disbelief and fear.

"Is this some kind of prank? Pregnant? For who?" he asked, his face hardening as he tried to grasp the situation.

"I know it's a shock, and I'm scared too. I know I told you I was seeing someone else, but that was just to get back at you. I'm not seeing anyone, I swear. Ever since we started sleeping together, I haven't been with anyone else," she said, her voice trembling.

"I wore condoms, and you were on pills. How did it happen?" he asked, frustration and confusion evident in his tone.

"I don't know," she said, her tears starting to flow again. "My parents are gonna be so mad. I'm not even done with college yet, and now I have to think about having a baby that I'm not ready for."

Ezra's mind raced, torn between guilt and the stark reality of the situation. He had been planning to apologize for all the hurt he had caused her, but now, hearing she was pregnant with his child, everything felt overwhelming. He wasn't ready to be a father. The thought had never crossed his mind. He had always tried to be careful, but with Eva, he had become too comfortable.

"What do you have in mind?" he asked quietly, his voice strained.

"I don't know. I just wanted you to know so we can decide what to do next. I mean, I'm not ready at all," she said, her voice breaking with emotion.

"Me neither," he admitted. "We can't bring a baby into this world when we're not ready."

"So what do you think?" she asked, looking into his eyes, searching for answers, her own eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.

"Take the baby out," he said bluntly, his words cutting through the air like a knife.

"What the fuck!" she exclaimed, stepping back in shock.

"What?" he asked, confusion and frustration mixing in his voice.

"Killing? Ezra, are you serious right now? You want to kill your child?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief and rising anger.

"Do we have a choice? I'm not ready, and neither are you. I thought you even had that in mind," he said, his frustration boiling over as he ran his hands through his hair.

"I thought of adoption maybe, but not killing an innocent child," she said, her voice tinged with irritation and sadness.

"Do whatever you want to do. I'm not ready to be a father," he said, his voice cold and detached.

Eva scoffed, brushing past him and storming off.

"You don't need to do this!" he yelled after her, but she was already in her car, slamming the door.
