"Are you playing with me right now?" I asked, looking at him with all the seriousness I could muster.
He smiled, his hands firmly around my waist, pulling me closer. "I am not," he said softly.
"I don't believe you," I said, trying to move away, but he held me tighter, not letting me go.
"I wouldn't lie about liking you," he insisted, his eyes searching mine.
"You could just be saying that to get into my pants again," I countered.
"Have I ever told you that just to get into your pants before?" he asked. I shook my head.
"Then I'm not joking about it. I've just been too blind to see that I'm completely thrilled by you, and you make my heart flip," he said, making me gasp.
"I swear if this is a prank, I will kill you," I threatened, and he chuckled.
"Do you like me?" he asked, and I scoffed.
"I would love to pretend that I don't, but you already know," I admitted.
"Say it," he urged, his lips moving closer to mine.
"Why?" I asked, laughing nervously.
"Say it," he repeated, his voice a whisper against my lips. I tried to brush it off, rolling my eyes.
"No, you know already. You just want to embarrass me," I said, and he chuckled again.
"Please," he said, moving closer to peck my lips. My stomach immediately started doing somersaults.
"I... like..." I trailed off, pecking his lips. "You," I finished.
"Say it all at once," he said, not letting up.
"What?" I giggled.
"Say it all at once," he repeated.
"Fine, fine... I like you... okay with that?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm okay with that," he said, finally taking my lips into his.
The kiss was slow and tender, Just so perfect. His lips moved gently against mine, sending shivers down my spine. I could feel the sincerity in his touch, the way his hands cradled my face as if he were afraid I might disappear.
Time seemed to stand still as we lost ourselves in the moment. The warmth of his breath mingled with mine, creating a sense of closeness I had never felt before. My heart pounded in my chest, and all the worries and doubts melted away, leaving just the two of us.
When we finally broke apart, our foreheads rested against each other, breaths mingling in the quiet room. His eyes stayed closed for a moment longer, savoring the closeness.
"You have exams tomorrow, right?" he whispered, his voice a soft rumble against my lips. I nodded my voice barely a whisper.
"Yes."
"Then you should get some sleep," he said, pulling back slightly to look into my eyes, a gentle smile playing on his lips.
"Yeah," I agreed, feeling a warmth spread through me.
"But I'm glad you came."
"So am I," he replied, his eyes softening as he gave me one last lingering look before stepping back. As he turned to leave, I couldn't help but smile, feeling lighter than I had in a long time.
"See you tomorrow," I said, my voice tinged with excitement.
"Where?" he asked, his smile making my heart flutter.
