Third Person P.O.V

Anthony felt his stomach drop as Mrs. Clark's words hit him. His heart skipped a beat as realization of what she was referring to hit him. The photo...the photo in the Bible. He thought no one saw it. He was silent for a moment, his mind racing as he tried to think of a response. He slowly glanced over to Y/N, seeing the look in her eyes. He swallowed thickly, and looked down at his hands some. "Yes...she is..", he says softly answering Mrs. Clark. Y/N looked at her eyes soft, She couldn't believe it...he had her picture. Anthony felt the weight of Y/N's gaze as she stared at him "She is as beautiful as she is in the photo. She is different though. I can tell.", Mrs. Clark says making Y/N blush in some embarrassment. He swallowed nervously again as the older woman referred to Y/N's appearance. He knew she was different. Mrs. Clark knew because of the way Y/N was dress. Like a tomboy almost. Leather jacket, dark colored shirt, dark jeans and boots. With her make up kind of dark on her eyes some. If she knew about her attitude though it would make Mrs. Clark blush. She knew she couldn't fully judge Y/N by how she was dressed and look alone though. "Father...please tell me it isn't true. How could you be so reckless? A home made tattoo removal?", Mrs. Clark turned matters to why Anthony was actually in the hospital. "I'm so very sorry. I put self image ahead of biblical observance. I never meant to offend you or the congregation. "What are you blabbering on about?", Mrs. Clarke says making them both confused. "Look.", she says showing them both her ankle tattoo, "I've got one. I got it to celebrate my grandson's communion.", Mrs. Clarke says making Y/N smirk but Anthony sit back shocked. It was surprising, to say the least. Neither of them had expected her to have a tattoo of her own. It was shocking, seeing a woman her age with a tattoo. Y/N couldn't help but smirk as she looked at it, while Anthony was genuinely shocked. "You're a wonderful priest father. Much better than the last bore. But honestly, loosen up a little.", Mrs. Clark says to Anthony making Y/N try not to laugh. Anthony was stunned into silence for a moment as Mrs. Clark spoke to him. He was still processing the fact that she had a tattoo of her own. He chuckled awkwardly, his shock slowly fading into a sheepish smile. He slowly glanced over to Y/N, seeing her smirk, as he responded. "Yes ma'am..", he chuckles. "And fix whatever it is this is. I can tell she is a good one.", Mrs. Clark says then walking away.

Anthony and Y/N watched as the older woman walked away, still feeling the shock and surprise at what had just happened. When Mrs. Clark was no longer in sight he turned his attention to Y/N, his expression shifting to sheepish. "Well...that was something" he mumbled. "I like her.", she says with a chuckle. Anthony chuckled softly. He couldn't help but smile a little, her words helping him to relax. "She's definitely something.." he replied, letting out a deep sigh as he leaned back on the bed more. After the chuckling died down it was silent again and they both sigh. He took another deep breath, turning his head to look at her again. He could still feel the guilt and shame from earlier, but he tried to push it away for now. "Y/N.." he mumbled quietly, his voice full of hesitation. She looks over to him, he held her gaze for a moment, staring back at her silently. He swallowed heavily, trying to find the words to say what was on his mind. "We should.. we should probably actually talk now." He mumbled quietly, his heart beating fast in his chest. She nods "Yeah I guess we should.", She says sitting back to the bed side. She sighs as she tries and readies herself to talk. And, she wasn't the only one. He slowly shifted his own body, moving to sit on the bed more and look at her better. He was silent for a moment, his mind racing, before he finally found his voice again. "Where... where do we start..?" He mumbled quietly. She sighs "I honestly have no idea.", she smirks Anthony chuckled softly at her words, feeling the familiar pang of nostalgia in his heart. She always did have the uncanny ability to make him smile. After a few minutes, finally he worked up the courage to speak. "You...earlier you said you fell in love with me." He muttered quietly, his eyes searching her face for a reaction. She blushes and looks down some, "Yeah.." He swallowed heavily before he spoke again, his voice low and soft. "Why? Why me?" He asked quietly, his eyes still watching her intently. She smiles with a scoff and shrugs "I just did...I tried to stop myself but...the more time we spent together the more it grew. I knew I would probably get hurt cause I wasn't the ideal girl for someone like you wanting to do what you were going to set out to do, hence, you with your faith and such. But...I didn't care...even if there was a chance you wouldn't or couldn't love me back.", she says with a now sad look as she explains.
