Chapter 10
The next morning, Amina couldn't stop thinking about her father's message. As she prepared for work, her mind raced with possibilities. What could be so important that he wanted to talk now, after so much silence?

After finishing her tasks for the day, Amina decided to visit her father's house. the memories of her stepmother's harsh treatment still haunted her. As she walked up to the door, she took a deep breath and knocked.

Her father opened the door, his expression a mix of surprise and relief. "Amina, thank you for coming. Please, come in."

They sat down in the living room, and her father offered her some snacks. There was a moment of awkward silence before he spoke. He spoke to her and still apologized for all his wrongdoings to her.

reaching for her hand. "I want to make things right. I want to be part of your life again if you'll let me."

She smiled warmly "Dad last time I told you I forgave you so it's ok."

Later that evening, Amina met Zayd at the park to share the news. As they walked together, she recounted her conversation with her father. Zayd listened intently, his presence comforting and supportive.

"I'm glad he reached out," Zayd said. "It sounds like a good step towards healing."

"It is," Amina agreed. "It won't be easy, but I'm willing to try."

As they continued their walk, they talked about their upcoming wedding plans. The excitement of planning their future together filled them with joy. They discussed venues, guest lists, and all the little details that would make their day special.

However, amidst the joy, Amina couldn't shake a lingering feeling of unease. The reappearance of her father and his sudden desire to reconnect made her wonder if there was more to the story. What had prompted this change of heart?

One evening, while Amina and Zayd were having dinner at a local restaurant, her father called. "Amina, I need to talk to you again. Can you come by tomorrow?"

Amina's curiosity was piqued. "Sure, Dad. I'll come by after work."

The next day, Amina returned to her father's house, her mind racing with questions. When she arrived, he was waiting for her with a serious expression.

"Amina, there's something I need to tell you," he said, guiding her to sit down. "It's about your mother."

Amina's heart skipped a beat. "What about her?"

"Before she passed away, your mother wrote you a letter. I found it recently while going through some old things. I think it's time you read it."

He handed her an envelope, yellowed with age. Amina's hands trembled as she took it, her heart pounding in her chest. She opened it carefully and began to read.

"My dearest Amina," the letter began, "if you are reading this, it means I am no longer with you. I want you to know how much I love you and how proud I am of you. You are a strong, beautiful soul, and I believe you will accomplish great things in life."

Tears streamed down Amina's face as she continued reading. The letter was filled with words of love, encouragement, and wisdom. Her mother had written about the importance of self-love, resilience, and finding happiness within herself.

"Remember, my sweet Amina," the letter concluded, "you are never alone. I am with you in spirit, guiding you and watching over you. Live your life with love and courage."

Amina clutched the letter to her chest, feeling a profound sense of connection to her mother. It was as if her mother's words had reached across time to offer her comfort and guidance.

Her father watched her with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't give this to you sooner. I thought I had lost it, but finding it now feels like a sign."

Amina nodded, unable to speak through her tears. She hugged her father tightly, feeling a newfound sense of closure and peace.

That night, Amina shared the letter with Zayd. As they sat together, reading the heartfelt words, Amina felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the love and support in her life. She knew that, with Zayd by her side and her mother's wisdom in her heart, she could face any challenge that came her way.

Amina felt a renewed sense of purpose as she navigated her daily routine. The conversation with her father and the discovery of her mother's letter had brought a wave of healing and closure. She felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead with newfound strength.

One evening, as she was preparing dinner in her apartment, her phone buzzed with a message from Zayd. "I have a surprise for you. Can I come over?"

Amina smiled, her heart fluttering with anticipation. "Sure, I'd love that," she replied.

Within an hour, Zayd arrived, carrying a small gift-wrapped box. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he handed it to her. "I saw this and thought of you."

Amina carefully unwrapped the box, revealing a beautiful journal with an intricate cover. She opened it to find the first page inscribed with a heartfelt note from Zayd: "For Amina, to document your journey of self-love and all our adventures together."

Tears welled up in Amina's eyes as she looked at Zayd. "This is so thoughtful, Zayd. Thank you."

Zayd smiled warmly. "I know how much you love to write. I thought it would be a perfect way for you to capture your thoughts and experiences."

Amina wished she could hug him, feeling grateful for his understanding and support. "It's perfect. I can't wait to start using it."

As they sat down to dinner, Amina couldn't help but feel a deep sense of contentment. Their relationship had grown stronger with each passing day, and she felt more connected to Zayd than ever before.

After dinner, they decided to take a walk through the park, a tradition they had come to cherish. The evening air was cool and refreshing, and the sound of crickets filled the air as they strolled.

"How are things with your father?" Zayd asked, his tone gentle.

"It's going well," Amina replied. "We're taking it one step at a time, but it feels good to be rebuilding our relationship."

"I'm glad to hear that," Zayd said. "Family is important, and it's wonderful that you're finding a way to heal together."

Amina nodded, feeling a sense of peace. "It is. And I have you to thank for encouraging me to reach out to him."

Zayd smiled, his eyes filled with warmth. "I'm just glad you're finding happiness, Amina. You deserve it."
