The dark hour had begun, casting an eerie green light over everything. Reiko, monitoring from the support room, had detected a significant shadow presence on the monorail. Izuku, Hitoshi, Kyoka, and Monoma found themselves walking along the tracks, the distant hum of the city barely audible in the stillness of the night.Reiko's voice crackled through their communication devices. "There's a big shadow up ahead. Be careful, everyone."
Hitoshi's brow furrowed with concern. "I don't like this. We're on a monorail track during the dark hour. This is a recipe for disaster."
Kyoka glanced around nervously. "Tech isn't supposed to work during the dark hour. How is this even possible?"
They reached the first car and climbed inside. As soon as they were all in, the doors slammed shut with a loud clank, and the monorail jerked into motion. The sudden movement made Hitoshi and Kyoka jump in alarm.
Kyoka clutched her weapon tightly. "This isn't right. Why is it moving?"
Monoma, ever the impulsive one, ran ahead. "We need to find that shadow and take it down. Stay sharp!"
Izuku, trying to maintain calm, turned to the others. "Stay close and watch each other's backs. We can handle this."
The monorail hurtled down the tracks, and the group moved cautiously through the cars. Suddenly, shadows materialized around them, cutting them off from Monoma. The connection to Reiko was lost, leaving them isolated.
Hitoshi cursed under his breath. "We're on our own now. We need to clear these shadows quickly."
Kyoka nodded, her face set with determination. "Let's do this!"
The first shadow lunged at them, a twisted form resembling an Insidious Maya. Izuku's persona, Musashi, manifested and slashed through it with a powerful Aqua attack. Hitoshi's Mephistopheles followed up with a curse-infused Eiha, dispersing another shadow.
Kyoka's Benzaiten provided support with a healing Dia spell, keeping them in fighting condition. More shadows appeared, a mix of Cowardly Maya and Magic Hands, surrounding them.
Kyoka yelled over the din of battle, "We can't let them overwhelm us!"
Izuku called out, "Hitoshi, focus on the Magic Hands! Kyoka, keep us healed!"
Musashi and Mephistopheles moved in unison, cutting through the shadows with coordinated attacks. Despite their efforts, the sheer number of enemies began to wear them down. Kyoka's healing spells kept them going, but the situation was growing dire and With a final, coordinated effort, they broke through the wave of shadows, panting heavily as they reached the next car. Inside, Monoma stood, facing the door to the next car, his expression tense.
"Monoma!" Kyoka shouted, relief and anger mixed in her voice. "What were you thinking, running off like that?"
Monoma turned to them, a rare look of genuine concern on his face. "I thought I could find a way to stop this thing. But... it’s not that simple."
"We need to stick together," Hitoshi said firmly, his eyes scanning for any signs of more shadows. "We can't afford to be reckless."
Izuku nodded, his eyes locking onto the door ahead. "The big shadow is close. We have to be ready."
As they regrouped, the monorail car shuddered, and the door ahead creaked open, revealing a dark, ominous presence. They could feel the powerful aura of the shadow waiting for them.
"Whatever’s ahead," Izuku said, steeling himself, "we face it together."
Kyoka, Hitoshi, and Monoma nodded, determination and unity in their eyes. They were Sees, and they would not back down, no matter the challenge. With their personas at the ready, they stepped forward, prepared to confront the formidable foe that awaited them.
