Biana screamed.

The loud ear-splitting noise had come from the bathroom, where Biana had gone to look presentable. She had been the first one up, other than Sophie and Keefe. But now, thanks to her, everyone was up.

Sophie and Keefe shared a look before staring at everyone who was groaning tiredly and sitting up. It took all of Sophie's willpower to hold back a smile when she saw everyone's look of confusion.

"What was that?" Fitz asked drowsily.

"Biana." Keefe answered simply.

Sophie looked at Keefe, his face dead serious. She wondered how he kept a poker face so well. And how he managed to not burst out laughing when he spoke to them.

"How did you not break out into fits of hysterical laughter?" Sophie whispered.

"Well, you wanna say as little as-"

Keefe was interrupted by Linh giggling uncontrollably, tears in her eyes. She was looking at Tam, who was giving his sister the most confused look Sophie had ever seen.

Curious, Dex looked at Tam, which made him nearly fall over. "Y-you might wanna... look in the... mirror... Tam!" Dex choked out in between bursts of laughter.

Tam's eyes widened, his gaze slowly turning to Keefe. "What did you do Legacy Boy?"

Keefe didn't seem at all bothered by the nickname, but Sophie could tell from the way his shoulders were trembling that he was restraining laughter.

Instead of answering, Keefe got up and grabbed a small, hand-held mirror, handing it to Tam, who warily grabbed it. He looked in the mirror and his jaw dropped. His eyes landed on Keefe, his face hardening. "You are going to pay for that. Big time."

Sophie even felt slightly scared from Tam's murderous expression, but Keefe didn't look unnerved in the least by his threat.

"Now now, let's be nice. I'm the only one here with permission to make fun of my brother." Linh doused both boys with huge orbs of water.

"Woah," Fitz and Dex breathed.

"Not the hair!" Keefe whined. "And also, congrats you two! You can read!"

Linh gave Keefe a confused look. "What do you mean?"

"You might wanna look in the mirror too." Sophie suggested as Tam held his mirror out to Linh.

She took it and warily looked at her reflection. "Keefe!" Linh gasped.

She turned on him, soaking him with water again.

Keefe shook his head and ran his hands through his hair several times, trying to get the water out. "What did I say about The Hair!"

It took everyone an hour to clean themselves up, though Tam's silver tips hadn't been able to reappear. Tam didn't talk to Keefe the rest of the time.

Sophie had just sat back down with her friends after changing into a magenta tunic with gold embroidery when her imparter started lighting up. She excused herself and picked up.

"Hey Grady. What's up?" Sophie asked.

"Hi kiddo, I know you're at your sleepover, but we really need your help with the animals." Right on cue, loud roars sounded in the background, making Grady look over his shoulder.

Sophie sighed. The animals at Havenfield had been restless lately, so even the gnomes' help wasn't enough sometimes. "I'll be there in a few." Sophie said reluctantly.

"Thanks kiddo, you'll have another sleepover with your friends soon. Maybe we'll host it here at Havenfield."

Sophie's face lit up. "Yeah! That'd be great. I'll be right there. Bye!"

"See you soon." Grady's face disappeared and the imparter went silent.

Sophie rejoined her friends, who were chatting in the conversation pit. "I gotta go help Grady and Edaline with the animals. But this was fun, thanks Biana."

Biana beamed. "Of course! We needed to celebrate!"

Keefe stood and went to stand next to Sophie. "Does Grady need anyone else to help?"

"I'm not sure. I'll hail you if we do though."

Keefe nodded. "Yeah, just let me know Foster, me and the Gradynator need more quality time together anyway." He kissed her forehead and went to sit back down between Dex and Fitz.

"Bye guys!" Sophie waved and leapt away.

Sophie smiled. This was good, spending time with her friends, being able to relax. It had been a long time since she had last done that.

And now, she was able to be a normal teenager.

Very short. Pretty choppy. I just wanted to wrap it up so I could spend more time on my other (more important) books, which are so far:

Defiance: a dystopian novel of my own creation. (More details in the description)

Elysian; After Stellarlune: KOTLC fanfiction of what takes place after Stellarlune.

Sokeefe Oneshots: KOTLC oneshots of my favourite ship; Sokeefe!

Prompts: Not a story, but holds prompts for all sorts of different writings, such as stories, poems, oneshots, etc.
