A quick reiteration of the description's disclaimer

This text is a near identical copy to my current documentation of the alternate history being created and used as the foundation for "the New Story" and is therefore subject to change as my research evolves and progresses.

It should also be mentioned that reading a dry piece of material such as this can be difficult, and so I fully plan to put in every effort to make the succeeding story comprehensible and enjoyable for readers without forcing them to read through an alternate history script to understand what is happening.

Things to consider

"The New Story" is a term that may appear frequently in this text. It is referring to the new Azur Lane story currently being worked on.

At a later date, I will most likely create illustrations of the ship classes relevant to The New Story if those classes are visually different from British designs in a significant way. However this will take time, and will likely commence quite late into the development of the history itself. These drawings will likely have a high margin of error as I am neither an incredibly talented artist, nor a draftsman.

The summery of the Alternate history will likely be vague for many specific events other than those leading to the loss of a ship that could have otherwise fit into the timeframe in which Azur Lane draws its ships from. The summery of the timeline may also appear disjointed at times due to the nature of my research and writing process. The origins of specific ship classes, their general specifications and the reasons for why they are that way is usually the first part investigated, followed by consideration of the ship's potential service career and potential moments when she could be lost. There also instances where ships of a class are not named because they could never be relevant in the story's timeline. This would most likely be because the ship would have not been around during the period Azur Lane pulls its ships from to create characters, or is a class not considered in the game (ie: oilers, tenders, tugs, patrol craft, minesweepers, frigates, and corvettes.) There may be exceptions to this rule for creating specific characters however. A good example would be some corvettes or frigates. Both historically, and in this timeline as well, Canada made heavy use of corvette type ships to escort convoys and hunt down enemy submarines. This may lead to the creation of one or more characters of this ship type who can represent their class and type despite not actually being featured in the game itself.

I must also admit, that of course Canada could have never achieved such economic or military power, nor would it likely need to, and that the rules of our reality and the realm of possibility are bent on several occasions to varying degrees. This is my current and best attempt to make a timeline like this as believable as possible, but even with that said, there will likely be some things that the reader may have to just excuse.

A Small Disclaimer

I recently talked to a friend who has an interest in The New Story about the text I was planning to release. I asked him if he would like to read it in advance, and he declined on the grounds of potential spoilers. So I thought I'd like to issue a warning. Though there are not, and will not be any potential plot spoilers in this text, there will be potential character spoilers. What this means is that since I will be mentioning every significant ship class that would've been built up to the end of the Second World War by Canada, this could give the reader the ability to make a somewhat informed guess of just what ships could become characters in The New Story.

And of course, any feedback both critical or complimentary would be quite appreciated. I am very open to hearing back on how this timeline sits with people and what I could do better in writing it. With all this being said, thank you for your patience with me over the extended silence, and I hope to soon create a story that may live up to both the standards I have set for myself, as well as your expectations. . .
