The conversations we had

Yaman was at the canteen with Cesur, eating lunch. Today had been way better when it comes to school days because they had a long PE class in the morning. Only half the day was left.

"You didn't hear this from me, but Rüya thinks Çağla will forgive you if you properly apologize. She has spoken with Çağla about this situation." Yaman said while mixing his rice and sauce to form a uniform dish on the plate.

"Really? She said that? Çağla doesn't mind me being from the streets?" Cesur asks, looking surprised.

"Yes, that's what Rüya thinks anyway. Maybe we judged them too based on their upbringing. I mean, we have met plenty of judgmental wealthy people, but maybe there are some good ones mixed in." Yaman said.

"For sure! Çağla is perfect! I understand her shock, I didn't hold it against her. I just felt too ashamed to contact her. Do you think I should do it?" Cesur said immediately.

"What is there to lose? If you really like her, at least talking it out one last time, can't make things worse at least." Yaman reasons.

"You are right. Maybe she has had time to gather her thoughts too. I'll contact her soon!" Cesur said with resolution.

Yaman's phone buzzed. There's a message from Rüya: "Feel up to going to the river today after school? I want to look at some nice views." Yaman smiles at the screen.

Cesur rose his eyebrows, guessing who had texted him.

"Sure, I'll show you some nice sights around the river." Yaman typed and sent the message, cringing at how eager he must gave looked for replying instantly.

"It's a date then ;)" came the reply in a about 20 seconds. A date? That's right. Rüya had referred to their little outings as dated before.

He had thought she just casually said it, but now seeing that word on his phone screen made his hopes go up. Was he dating Rüya?

After school Yaman and Rüya met at Yaman's school gate like usual.

They started walking towards the riverbank, making comfortable small talk, and just enjoying the silence from time to time.

Yaman could see Rüya glancing up to him a few times from the corner of his eye. He found the gesture so cute. How did he catch the eye of such a girl?

"Wow! Look at the river, it's such a perfect day too! No clouds in the sky, such a peaceful aura." Rüya said in amazement.

"I agree. I needed a little break for sure. Thank you for suggesting coming here." Yaman said, smiling at Rüya.

"Let's walk a little and find a bench or something." Rüya said, looking back at Yaman. She reached her hand out for Yaman to grab.

He looked at it a little surprised, but grabbed it happily. Her hand was much smaller than his and felt a little cool despite the warm weather.

"I think Çağla went out to meet Cesur today. She said he had sent her a message." Rüya said, glancing at Yaman.

"For some reason I feel like Cesur got help from a cupid. He had not contacted Çağla since the incident, but now suddenly reaches out when someone  gained a little insight on her thoughts." Rüya continued, looking at Yaman, wiggling her eyebrows and smirking.

"Okay, okay, you got me" Yaman laughed out, apologetically waving his free hand.

"Well, that's good, I didn't say it all in vain then. Boys can be so clueless sometimes." Rüya said, looking at Yaman.
