Luz the... Werewolf???

Chapter 3

Luz arises from her much needed rest, and pulls out a fire glyph after feeling a hand on her shoulder.

She looks at the source of the hand, only to be met with the concerned face of her mentor.

"It's okay Luz, you're safe. You passed out, resulting in you hitting your head pretty hard on the table. It's a miracle you're awake right now," Viney says. She puts a bag of ice on Luz's head and lets her rest.

Luz puts the fire glyph back in her cowl and sits up. It takes her brain a second to take in her surroundings and realize that she's in the medical bay.

A few seconds later, Amity came rushing in, out of breath.
"I got here as soon as I heard, are you okay Luz?"

"Yes, Amity. I'm okay. A little achy, but ok." They both hug and kiss each other, everyone in the room watching.

The healer walks over to Luz and removes the ice. "I advise you go home, young lady. That fall was a pretty bad one."

"I guess," Luz sighs dejectedly, sad that she has to go home.
As she gets up, she stumbles a little. Amity and one of the healers runs over to Luz and catches her before she falls.

Luz thanks them and lets Amity carry her home, bridal style.

When she gets home, King immediately rushes over to her and hugs her.

"Hi, King. Did you miss me?" Luz asks while hugging him back.

"The King of Demons misses no one!"

Amity begins walking away, but not before Luz squeezed in one more kiss. They both release, and Amity walks back to her house.

Luz goes up to her bedroom and gets changed into her casual clothes. She also grabs her phone.

"Eda, I'm gonna be at the library for a little while!" Luz yells while making her way down the stairs.

"Ok, kid. Be back by dinner!"

Luz nods and walks out of the door.

"Bye Luz, hoot!" Hooty says in his obnoxious voice. She begins running, wanting to get away from him.

Walking through the town of Bonesborough, she spots Boscha and her gang cornering a construction kid from her school.

"Hahaha, what're you going to do loser, call for your mommy and daddy? Oh wait, they're dead," Boscha says while shoving him down.

Luz watches this happen and gets enraged, walking over to them.

"Hey, stop bullying that kid! He did nothing to you!" Luz pushes Boscha away from the poor boy.

"Oh look, a hero. Now, for pushing me, you're gonna experience what it feels like to be a pancake."

Boscha begins trying to punch Luz, but misses. She was just there! How did she get away?

Luz is just as confused. First thing, she was about to be beaten to a pulp, and next thing she knows, she's is a few feet away from where she was.

"What just happened!?" Both Luz and Boscha ask.

While Luz is still thinking to herself, Boscha comes over to her and grabs her by her shirt collar.

"Look, I don't know what happened back there, but you aren't getting away that easily." She then proceeds to punch Luz in the face, breaking her nose and knocking her out.

"That'll teach you a lesson." She drops Luz unconscious body on the ground and walks away. Skara watches this all happen and feels guilty.

No one notices, but Luz starts growing claws and her ears become pointed and covered with fur.

She shoots up and her familiar hazel eyes are replaced with shocking golden ones.

"Oh, you're gonna pay for that."
