13. Is she my lover?

So, if you guys have read the masti bits before this chapter, I just wanted to remind you that it has nothing to do with this chapter and that it was only for a light hearted sneak peek 👀.

Anushka 's POV:

After that incident yesterday, I had a good night of sleep and woke up feeling fresh and ready to start our journey to the outskirts of the kingdom.

We got ready early at around 6:30 am.

As if on cue, Ruchi started to whine.

" Didi yaar subeh subeh itni jaldi kon utthe hai yaar. Mujhe Sona chahiye "

" Dude, who even wakes up this early in the morning? I want to sleep. "

And I face palmed myself as usual, nothing more nothing less.

We got on our journey even though Ruchika was eating my brains out the WHOLE journey.

After a while we rested below a big neem tree in the middle of a field and were planning on eating lunch there.

I packed some Kheer and some milk and rice for lunch.

We were seated in a circle and started to eat. Suddenly Vikram said,"

" Bhabhi ji aap aur bhaiya kal raat kaha Gaye the? Aur hum dono ne kyu nahi bulaya? "

" Sister in law, where did you and brother go last night? And why didn't you call both of us? "

I started coughing while eating.

Adithya looked at me innocently. And asked me to tell them.

Traitor.

" Hum tho bas esa hi gayi thi, ek samudra ke paas. Aur aap dono soh gayi thi, isiliye nahi bulaya. "

" We were just simply roaming, near a pond. And also, both of you were sleeping that's why I didn't call you. " I told him in a half convincing manner.

" Just roaming or...... " Stretched Ruchika.

" SHUT UP " I said to Ruchika.

After bantering back and forth for a while we all travelled and reached the outskirts.

There was a small village which looked bustling with joy and laughter.

We reached the bazaar ( market ) .

" Hayeeee didi idhar dekhiye na kitni Sundar hai ye reshmi kapade! "

" Oh my god! Sister, look, these silk clothes are soo beautiful! " Said Ruchika with awe.

" Idhar khareed ne keliye nahi aaya Hume. Thoda sa dhyan Karo na Ratchasi. "

" We did not come here to buy stuff. Atleast pay a little attention demoness. " Said Vikram to Ruchika.

" Oye tum mat bolo ye sab. Mene dekha tha tum kitni pyaar se vo dukaan ne dekh rhi thi. "

" You don't say all this. I saw how you looked at that shop in awe " countered Ruchika.

" Why are you paying attention to what I am watching? " He asked her a little sarcastically.

Ruchika looked at me and muttered in my ear.

" Look how full of himself he is! Thinks he is the Hrithik Roshan of ancient days or what!? Not even this close to Adithya jiju. " She complained.

I giggled at her words.

Just then Adithya signalled us to be serious and asked a person passing by us,

" Hi. We have come from a far away place and are planning to stay in Ayodhya. Can you tell us the conditions of this place? " He maintained a serious tone.

The passerby looked at him like he was an alien and told him,

" Conditions!? This place is heaven. Our problems are heard and the princes give us unwavering support and confidence to ask our problems to the kings. And give solutions that suits us all!. I have never visited a place as comfortable as this. Trust me, you will love it in here. " He said confidentially.

I smiled and went into deep thoughts. His voice trailed off and I found myself drawn towards Adithya. I try denying it but somehow I'm always back to square one.

Just then I heard the person asking a question that brought me out of my thoughts.

" Is this your lover? " He asked pointing towards me.

" She is not my lover. But she is the reason my heart skips a beat unknowingly and undeniably. "

. I know this chapter was soo short and I updated after soo long. I had my exams and tomorrow is my last exam. Science. Rabba bachaiye.
