Max and Lucas leave the building like the other kids.. Max goes straight for his pushbike.. "Hey, Max, did ya want a lift home?" Lucas yelled to him.. "No!" Max yelled back jumping on his bike.. He had Alison in his sights.. "Are you going trick-or-treating tonight?" Jade asked Lucas as she came to stand with him beside his motorbike.. "No, you?" He asked with a grin.. "No.. I normally don't...." Jade replied with a smile.. "I understand." Lucas said.. "Do you really?" Jade asked, with a smile.. "No.. But I thought it sounded good." Lucas said to her with a nervous laugh.. He felt something for her, he had never felt for anyone before.. "You know, you do not have to try and impress me.. I am already impressed." Jade said to him.. "Wow.. does that normally work for you?" Lucas asked her with a smile.. "I don't know, it's the first time I have used it.."Jade replied with a smile.. "You really are an unusual girl." Lucas said.. "Why thank you." Jade said to him.. "Would you like a lift home?" Lucas asked.. "Ah, I am going trick-or-treating.. I have my costume in my bag.. So I guess not thanks.." Jade said with a smile.. She was not ready for him to know where she lived, or who she lived with.. "Can I change my mind about trick-or-treating?" Lucas asked her.. "Of course.." Jade said to him.. "Then would you like a life home?" He asked her.. "Ah.. to your place?" Jade asked with a cheeky grin.. "Oh, yeah, of course." Lucas said to her with an unbelieving smile.. "You are lucky I wore pants to school today." Jade said to him.. "Oh yeah.." Lucas said.. As Jade slipped onto the back of the bike with him she noticed for the first time his black leather jacket.. "I like your Pentacle." Jade said to him.. "My what?" Lucas asked, he was so nervous.. "Your Pentacle, on the back of your Jacket." Jade said to him touching it.. "Oh yea, you know what it is, that is cool." Lucas said to her.. "Of course I know what it is, we live in Salem." Jade said to him with a laugh.. "Okay then, let's get this party started." Lucas said to her.. "Are we going to a party?" Jade asked with excitement.. "You are a strange girl Jade.... What is your last name?" Lucas asked.. "Morningstar.. Jade Morningstar." Jade said with a smile.. "I like it." Lucas said.. "So do I." Jade said..
While Max rode his bike over to Alison who was walking home.. "Allison." Max said as he rode up beside her.. "Hi." Alison replied.. "Hi. Look, um, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to embarrass you in class." Max said to her.. "You didn't." Alison said to him.. "My name is Max Dennison." He said to her.. "Yeah, I know. You just moved here, huh?" Alison asked him... "Yeah, last week." Max said to her.. "Must be a big change for you?" Alison asked him.. "Yeah, that's for sure. But I think Lucas likes it..." Max said to her.. "You don't like it here?" Alison asked him.. "Oh, the leaves are great, but-- - I-I don't know. It's just all this Halloween stuff." Max said to her.. "You don't believe in it?" Alison asked with a little mischievous look.. "What, do you mean, like, the Sanderson Sisters? No way. I am not Lucas.." Max said to her. "Not even on Halloween?" Alison asked again with a mischievous look.. "Especially not on Halloween. Like I said, I am not my brother Lucas.." Max said to her.. "Maybe you should be.. "Trick or treat." Alison said to him, holding up a piece of paper to him.. Max smiled, he just knew it was going to be her phone number.. He took it with a smile for her.. "Hey, Christie, wait for me. I'm coming!" Alison said running off after her friend.. Max then opened the paper, it was his phone number that he had given her in class.. Max looked up as Lucas and Jade rode past him on his bike.. "What the...." Max said screwing up his nose..
