Max, Lucas, Jade and Dani wander the streets with their trick or treat bags going from house to house together.. "Trick or treat! Trick or treat!" Kids call as they wander.. "This is a wonderful thing to do, knock on doors and gather candy." Jade said in amazement.. "You must have done this when you were a child?" Lucas asked her as they walked holding hands.. "No.." Jade replied, looking around.. She had never been out and about on Halloween.. It was the one night of the year Thackery and her spent together guarding the cottage in the woods.. "Lighten up, Max." Dani said to him.. She had just come from her last house.. While Max sat glaring at Lucas and Jade together.. "Can we go home now?" Max asked.. "No." Dani said.. That is when Max saw them, Jay and Ice, the boys from the cemetery.. They were harassing kids on the street, takeing their candy.. "Let's just go this way." Max said to Dani, he wanted to avoid them.. But Dani walked down the path towards them.. "Dani." Max said with annoyance.. He then looked around for Lucas and Jade.. But he could not see them.. "Typical.." Max said to himself..
"Ding-ding. Ding-ding." Ice said to her.. He held his leg up so she could not pass.. "Stop and pay the toll, kid." Jay said to her.. "Ten chocolate bars. No licor ice." Ice said to her.. "Dump out your sack." Jay said to her, getting into her face.. "Drop dead. Moron." Dani said to them.. "Whoa!" Jay said.. "Ooh!" Their mates said.. "Yo, twerp. How'd you like to be hung off that telephone pole?" Ice asked.. "Yeah!" Jay said.. "I'd just like to see you try, because it just so happens I've got my big brother's with me. Max, Lucas! " Dani said to them she was being brave.. "Oooh!" The other boys say.. Jay and Ice look up to see Max.. "Hollywood!" Ice said.. "Oh, no!" Jay said, pretending to be scared.. "So, you're doing a little trick-or-treating." Jay said being sarcastic.. He then turns to Ice.. "Ding-dong." Jay said to him.. "Whoo!" Ice said, pretending to scare Jay.. Jade stood watching them with Lucas.. "What are they doing?" Jade asked.. "Being foolish." Lucas said to her.. "They are bullies, I should turn them into bats.." Jade said.. "You take being a witch seriously don't you?" Lucas asked her with a little awe.. "Don't you?" Jade asked.. He looked at her, he could not believe he had found someone so much like him.. "If only we could." Lucas said to her with a smile.. "I would need thy sister's book." Jade said without a thought.. "You have sisters?" Lucas asked.. "Ah, no.. do you think he needs our help?" Jade asked, looking over at Max and Dani.... "I'm just taking my little sister around." Max said to them.. "Mmm... That's nice. Whoa! I love the costume!" Jay said to him, getting into his face again.. "Yeah!" The other boys say egging Jay on... "But what are you supposed to be? A New Kid On The Block?" Jay asked, laughing.. "He be very funny." Jade said to Lucas.. "For your information, he's a Little Leaguer." Dani said with pride.. "Whoa!" All the boys said.. "Ooh, tough guy!" Jay said.. "I'm a Little Leaguer!" Ice said, pretending to hit the ball out of the park.. As all the boys laugh at Max.. "Whoa! Yeah!" Jay said to Max.. He then tries to push past Ice and Jay.. "Wait a minute. Everybody pays the toll." Ice said to him.. "Stuff it, zitface." Dani said.. "Why, you little--" Ice said, going for Dani.. "Hey!" Max said, going to him.. "Ice, is that thy name?" Jade asked, walking up to him.. "I got this Jade." Max said.. "Yeah.. you're the new girl, the odd one ain't ya?" Ice asked her with a grin.. "Yes.." Jade said, smiling sweetly at him.. She then made her bag of candy fall all out over him.. "Whoa! How did you do that freak!" Jay asked her.. "Magic, it is All Hallows Eve is it not?" Jade asked with a smile.. Ice went for her, but he could not get close to her.. "Here! Pig out." Max said to him, shoving his bag of candy at Ice.. "Come, Dani, let's go." Lucas said to her, leading her away from them.. Jade smiled and waved to them as she walked off with the others.. "Jerk." Max said to him.. "Oh Hollywood the shoes fit great!" Ice said to him..
