The door chimed at the entrance for the guests. And the restaurant staff sprint into action.
After all, it was the royal family.
"Maha Rana Sa." The manager bowed his head in front of the former king before making his way towards the 'current king' Abhiveer Singh Rathore.
"Please be seated." The manager said his hands joined in front of him in a respectful manner.
The royal family was chiming with excitement and happiness.
The only nervous figure of the princess of the family. For whom they all has assembled today.
To discuss for her wedding. With the best friend of the current king.
Hridey Singh Shekhawat.
The name enough to speed up the heartbeat of the royal princess. The name which could bring a smile even to her sour feature.
Being a girl she knew it was inevitable. And will have to be by her husband's side in every up and down.
But knowing it was him. It had made it easy for her. To believe and trust in her to be husband.
Soon the royal family took its seat near the main centre table. The voice to their conversation an echo. Just like the birds chirping.
The royal children in their own small bubble. Until, the door chimped again. Indicating a new arrival.
The sound caused princess's heart to skip a beat even before she has seen the person entering.
"Shekhawat." The Maha Rana Sa said, expanding his arms to welcome his best friend.
"Abhishek." The men hugged, embracing their bond and ready to seal the deal.
The princess lifted her eyelashes slightly to look at the man by the side of Amrender Singh Shekhawat.
A beautiful shy smile took its form as her gaze clash with her to be man.
Both gazes holding different emotions.
Princess's gaze told trust and innocence for her to be husband. While the man's gaze seems conflicted.
Was he ready for the responsibility he was being assigned with? Would he be able to care and provide for her?
And determination too, because her dad and the royal family find him responsible enough to take care of their little princess.
And here it was where he vowed to care for her. For, she was his responsibility now and for all to come and see.
The moving shadow from the man's eye corner had him turning his attention towards the direction.
Only for them to crash with another determined, possessive, trusting gaze of a father.
"Sir." Hridey said addressing the father of the girl would would soon be his wife.
"Drop these formalities, Son." The man said waving his hand in the air.
"Baba Sa." The man said nodding his head and the father in law to be nodded his head in appraisal, hearing the word from his to be son.
And soon later the family and the new arrivals were conserved in the discussion for the wedding that's to arrive two months later.
No one noticed as the black clouds surround the area and turned everything dark.
Hridey not able to define what was happening gazed side by but the area to dark to see the person nearby.
A unexpected loud screech suddenly sounded and as if the sound acted as a trigger, the black clouds in the area soon returned back. Once again flooding the area with pure sunlight.
The to be husband gaze side-by to find the whole area vacant. To not find a single person nearby.
Sprinting him into high alert and anxiety. He looked around the hurried attempt until his gaze locked to the floor of the other side of the table.
Sandles peeked from the front. Slowly making his way towards the place his gaze locked on the figure.
His to be wife, covered in blood and blood zoning from her mid - section. Her face showcasing the pain she was feeling.
"Mehu." He screeched dropping to her side, on the floor.
"Hridey, Sorry." The princess painfully said, her breathing uneven.
Before it all stopped altogether. And her arm crashed to the floor, lifeless.
Hridey's POV~
My eyes fly open as I shoot up straight in the bed. My breathing heavy and sweet dropping my forehead.
I looked by my side in search of my wife. Seeing her sleeping peacefully and her chest breathing, I released a heavy sign rubbing my face.
Nightmare. A nightmare.
'Everything's fine. She's by your side. Sleeping peacefully. Your wife's calm and safe by your side.'
I chanted noticing as the nightmare took its troll over me.
She's my all and I won't let anything happen to her. I vowed to protect her and not even my dreams have the right to harm her.
I relax back into the bed taking into the appearance of my wife. Her hair a halo spread into the pillow. Her face, a soft featural apperance.
Her mangalsutra and vermillion always somehow heightened my obsession for her, everytime I see my wife enchanted in them.
Slowly and gradually my heartbeat lightened, encapturing back it's normal slow speed as I gazed at my 'life' .
I know it's all a dream but I still had me reckless. I won't let anything happen to her not even in my dreams.
