Mehu's POV~

I quietly shut the door behind me as I slide into the hallway corridor.

Trying not to make the sound of my jinglet. My anklets. The little thiefs why my husband always know where I am.

"I heard you." A voice sound down the corridor. I giggle as I run to the kitchen.

Papa ji was already there when I entered. Sitting on the cylinder near the kitchen counter. With a newspaper.

"Good morning." Dad greeted softly.

"Good morning." I greeted, with a smile.

"Aap kya lenge.?" I asked, as I walk towards the kitchen counter.

(What would you may want?)

"Green tea would suffice."

"Ok."

I get onto making his green tea while preparing coffee for me and my husband.

"When I got you married to my son, I was hesitant, that would you be able to adjust to the new life of yours?"

I look up from the water burning on the stove.

"But seeing you, being the old childish and fluffy dovey you. I think I made the right decision."

"You did, you knew I had a crush on your son." From 2 years 45 days 16 hours.

Dad chuckled saying, "You got expressive eyes, my child."

I smile at dad's words.

Just as my husband entered the kitchen.

"What going on?"

"Just father - daughter talks." Dad said, winking towards me.

At which Hridey nodded his head.

And the rest of the morning breakfast sounded peacefully. With a bit of business talks between the males of the family. Where they tried to involve me too.

"See you, kids. I am leaving for the office."

They knows I don't like being said bye to. The word's holding an entirely different meaning. As of me.

"Don't forget my chocolate, dad." I shouted from the kitchen.

"Promise." He said, before the elevator sounded behind him. Indicating his depart.

"I will be in my home office. Let me know if there's anything." Hridey said, entering the kitchen for a second to inform me.

"Ok."

He has been working from home. Since our mariage.

But how long?

Not that I hold complains.

It just, feels safe and peace to have my husband when the whole floor remains vacant and silent.

I have never been alone. Seeing as I was grown up in a joint family. Where there's always someone present.

Though I had trouble in the starting to adjust here. As I didn't knew what to make out of my free time.

Until later, when I talked to Hridey about it. He said I could join the company.

But I said no.

Because I wanted to focus on my marriage, for now and completely adjust to my new life before I take up on a new responsibility.

So, I just sticked to my cooking hobby. Which almost had our cook fired. But the both males of the family said we would hire him back the day I officially join our chain of hotels.
