I woke up with Daniel standing directly over me. His face was pale.
"C-Corey I don't feel good." he choked out.
I got out of bed and followed him as he hurried to the bathroom.
He threw up multiple times then fell back into my arms on the bathroom floor.
"How much did I drink?" he asked.
"I think almost 10." I replied.
"Oh ma-" he stared to say before he was cut off by another round of barf.
He took some medication later and got dressed.
I met Dianna right outside his door.
She hurried me to the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
"What were you doing?" she whisper-shouted.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"With my brother dumbass! What else?" she complained.
"OH."
She stood there awaiting my response. It had to have looked bad from someone who didn't know what was going on.
"He was super drunk,"I started to explain,"and he wouldn't sleep till I was with him."
"That stupid-" she sighed. "I'm so sorry about his behavior, I promise he's not like that. I don't know why he decided to drink so much." she put her head in her hands.
"Thank you." she said before she opened the door and let me out.
Daniel was waiting in his room for me. He grabbed my hands
"You know you're my best friend, right?" he asked.
"Yes of course. You're mine too." I replied.
He pulled me into a hug. "I-I'm so sorry." he sniffled into my shoulder.
"It's okay. Honestly." I said.
He pulled away and put his forehead against mine, still holding my hands. He let go and pulled away as the door opened.
"Good morning boys! Just making sure you're awake." his mom said.
"Morning!" I said giving a polite smile back.
She closed the door behind her as she left.
"I should get going." I told Daniel.
He sniffled.
"That's fair. Please call me when you get home." he asked softly.
I nodded my head.
I grabbed both of his hands and pulled him into a hug.
He put his head on my shoulder and then let go.
"Bye." I said.
"Bye." he replied, standing awkwardly.
I headed out of his room and knocked on Dianna's door.
"Bye." I told her.
"Cya." she said back.
I headed out the front door and to my car.
