The news of Davina's death spread quickly through the compound, and the grief was palpable. Among those most affected was Marcel, who had loved Davina deeply. When he heard the news, it was as if the world had been pulled out from under him.

Marcel stormed into the courtyard, his face twisted with rage and sorrow. He saw the Mikaelsons gathered around the makeshift memorial, and his anger flared.

"You let her die!" Marcel shouted, his voice raw with pain. "You were supposed to protect her!"

Elijah stepped forward, his expression calm but filled with regret. "Marcel, we did everything we could. Davina fought bravely. She saved many lives."

Marcel's fists clenched, his whole body trembling with fury. "That's not good enough! She should have been here, safe. You promised me she would be protected!"

Klaus tried to intervene, his voice firm but gentle. "Marcel, we all loved Davina. Her loss is felt by everyone here."

"Don't you dare talk to me about loss!" Marcel roared, his eyes blazing with anger. "She was everything to me! And now she's gone because of your war!"

The tension in the courtyard was thick, the pain and anger of the moment threatening to erupt into violence. Anna watched from the side, her heart breaking for Marcel. She knew Davina was the child of his dreams, and seeing him in such pain was almost unbearable.

Rebekah approached Marcel cautiously, her eyes filled with compassion. "Marcel, please. We're all hurting. We need to come together, not tear each other apart."

Marcel shook his head, his voice choked with emotion. "How can I come together with you when you're the reason she's dead?"

Draco stepped forward, placing a hand on Anna's shoulder as he spoke to Marcel. "We're all devastated, Marcel. But this anger isn't going to bring her back. We need to honour her memory by continuing the fight she believed in."

Marcel's eyes filled with tears, his rage giving way to the crushing weight of his grief. "I just... I can't believe she's gone. She deserved so much more."

Anna couldn't stay silent any longer. She stepped forward, her voice trembling. "Marcel, I know how much Davina meant to you. She was my friend, too. But we have to be strong for her. She wouldn't want us to be consumed by anger."

Marcel looked at Anna, his expression softening slightly. "I don't know how to move on from this, Anna. She was my kid."

Anna nodded, tears streaming down her face. "I know. And we'll never forget her. But we have to keep going. For her."

Elijah placed a hand on Marcel's shoulder, his voice gentle. "We will honour Davina's memory by ensuring that her sacrifice was not in vain. Together, we will rebuild and continue the fight for a better future."

Marcel took a deep, shuddering breath, his anger slowly dissipating into sorrow. "You're right. We have to keep fighting. For her."

The courtyard fell silent, the weight of their shared grief settling over them. As the night wore on, they gathered together, finding solace in each other's presence. They shared stories of Davina, remembering her bravery, her kindness, and her indomitable spirit.

As dawn approached, Marcel stood by the memorial, his heart heavy with loss but also filled with determination. He knew that Davina would want him to be strong, to continue fighting for the future they had dreamed of.

Anna joined him, her eyes filled with empathy. "We'll get through this, Marcel. We'll honour her memory by being the best versions of ourselves."

Marcel nodded, his eyes fixed on the flickering candles. "For Davina."
