As I led Valentina to her room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It was the attic, the same room where I had spent countless hours as a child. The space was small and cozy, with a single bed tucked into the corner.

To my surprise, Valentina seemed genuinely taken aback. 'It has... a bed,' she muttered, her voice laced with sarcasm. 'I didn't think humans used such barbaric forms of slumber.'

Regaining her composure, she continued, 'So, this is your abode. How delightfully quaint.'

I couldn't resist a chuckle. 'It's not much,' I said, 'But it's home.'

I handed her one of my old T-shirts and sweatpants. 'These should keep you warm for the night,' I told her.

Valentina took them without much thanks. I noticed that she had no other clothes apart from the ones she was wearing.

The room also had its own bathroom, complete with a shower. I showed her the rest of the house, including the kitchen, library, and our bedrooms.

When we reached the basement, Valentina hesitated. 'What lies below?' she asked, her voice slightly apprehensive.

'It's just the training room and our safe,' I said, trying to reassure her. 'We keep all our ghost-hunting gear down there.'

Valentina followed me down the stairs reluctantly. She scanned the basement with her sharp eyes, taking in the weapons and equipment.

She says she's not a fan of it then says something funny and sarcastic:

"I'm not a fan of this place," she muttered, "It feels... dangerous. Like someone might offer me a free drink and then try to sell me a timeshare."

I laughed at her comment

And with that, Valentina retired to her room, leaving me to ponder the mysteries that lay ahead.

That's it for this chapter.
