Summary: Whilst Leon & Claire are on a midnight stroll, they hear distant music and slow dance together.

Status of their relationship in this one shot: Dating!

The night was young, it was only 12:00 AM. Some street lights had been shut off but a few remained enlightened. The moon and it's stars have fully made their appearance too, both bright & beautiful. There was no one outside either. Everyone was in their homes, getting ready to sleep the night away. That wasn't the same for Claire & Leon though. It's rare but on occasion, they'll take a good chunk of the evening to walk around the downtown part of the city they live in. It's a nice way to clear their heads.

Local shops were all closed for the night too. It's a bummer to Claire because she wishes she could do some late night shopping. The only time stores are ever open this late are during big sales like Black Friday but she's either working or busy, of course. As for Leon though, he doesn't really care. He just takes these walks for the fun of it. And also, of course, because he's with Claire. Holding her hand, strolling down the eroded sidewalk and feeling the refreshing wind hit his face was a peaceful time for him, he'll take it any chance he gets.

The path they take each time is great, scenery wise. They get to see all the homes, shops and attractions. One of Claire's favorites is the large statue that stands inside of a massive fountain in the center of town. Claire doesn't have a single clue who the man carved into the sculpture is, probably some big hoss from back in the day, but it's just very pretty to her. The way the water sparkles & glimmers at night is breath taking. The atmosphere is also a giveaway considering it's so calming.

Leon didn't have a favorite one considering his favorite thing to look at is Claire. He once told her that if they were visiting an art museum together, the only work of art he'd be entranced by is her. She found it corny but deep down, it was truly sweet.

Their hands were locked as they walked side by side together, passing all the small business owned shops. It was like your average downtown look, small clothing stores, thrift stores, coffee shops and little restaurants. It was like a shot out of a movie.

"You feeling tired at all yet?" Leon asked of Claire, wanting to make sure she wasn't too sleepy. If that was the case, he'd walk her straight home. The two were currently staying at her place. They both agreed they aren't deep enough into their relationship to live together. But that's just the situation for now. "No, I'm okay, how about you babe?" "I'm doing fine." Leon sneered, Claire could feel his thumb caressing her hand. It felt nice. Claire adores his affectionate side as she herself isn't all that physical. It's easier when he initiates it.

"Thank you for cooking tonight, by the way. I never took you for someone who could work a grill." Claire snickered out, giving him a quick look of love before her head went back to looking straight in front of her. Leon chuckled, "If I'm in the mood, I can cook just about anything. I haven't made plantains in a long time so I'm glad they turned out as they did." He explained, also looking in the same direction as she was. "You should be, you did great, they were super good. The last time I had grilled plantains was at a Thanksgiving dinner at the orphanage." "Were mine any better?" "Don't be dumb." She playfully rolled her eyes at his stupid question.

"When we get back home, we should watch a movie or something, even a show, if that's what you want." Leon expressed to Claire. Funny enough, Claire was surprised by this. Leon is never the one to plan things out like this. She felt appreciated. "Oh, that sounds really good. A movie would be nice, especially on a night like this. Got any genre ideas?" Claire posed the question. "Honey, you should know by now to not ask me that because every single time I'm just gonna say Action." Leon snorted. "Right... Well, even Action would be okay with me. We watched the Alien series and I enjoyed that." Claire said softly.
