I left Sara there on the staircase and i went to icu its need of urgency, my team of residents vickey and Swati are already present there,asseing the patient condition swiftly i walk to them, "what is the vital signs,electrolytes levels ?" I questioned  "bradycardia 60bpm ,hypothermia 97.8" Swati answered, "Quick, start calcium gluconate , insulin with glucose, it will protect the heart and shift potassium into cells ."I give them instructions.

"he is having hyperkalemia beacuse of fuild overload" I told them, Swati is inserting cannula fixer on patient but she is taking so much time "hand me this cannula you are so slow ,do you want to lose the patient"I shout on her,she hand me the fixer and get aside, vickey hand me administering medicine after the intervention of producers " he's vitals are back to normal " Swati said looking to the screen "he is out of danger, these medication will help his body to eliminate excess potassium " I said them.

"Since the patient is now stable,continue monitoring closely" i said looking to icu nurses.i m ready to take my leave,"you ,come with me i'd like to talk with you" I said looking towards vickey."yes,I m after you, professor" he said following me.we both came outside the ICU. I walk to with him to the end corner of the corridor .

"I wanted to follow up in what happened earlier in the staircase " I said to him."oh that I m so sorry professor, I tried to call you but it didn't connect,I went to your office,doctor lounge, then I ask around,nurse Asha said,  last show you going towards those stairscase,and i thought you might be busy doing personal call,or on a break,but didn't knew what I'll run into, but you've got my back and your love life with Sara " he said with straight face.

"I need you to keep this between us, okay, don't share this with anyone else,can I trust you ?"I said"yes I will keep quite ,trust me,is there anything you want me to do differently now that I know" he asked " No, just keep your mouth shut that'll be enough " I said and walk away he followed me " we are going to opd ,lunch break is over now" he asked "yes" I answered him i didn't even had lunch i went to meet Sara instead.

Swati join us who was standing in wait outside the ICU door. And when we walk through opd,there are crowd on floor ,infront of the labs,pharmacy and then we reach our opd,many chairs are occupied in waiting area so many patients are still remain to consult, they look to my direction like their wait is over ,they are so tierd from waiting .

I lean on the reception desk " how many remains patients form today's appointment why didn't you forward them to dr sharma , its going to be 4 pm in an hour , time over for opd" i said to reception nurse Geeta " you were in the ICU, I told them ,many of them are your regular patients ,they were asking when will doctor Aman Mehta come ,what will i do ,they trust you and Decline Dr sharma consultation" Nurse Geeta said.

"Okay then let's finish it fast,send 2 patient at a time" I said her.and went to my opd room.as usual listening the patient and reviewing the past progress, prescribing them appropriate treatment and ordering labs if further investigation needed to treat their issue . I was busy with my work , but sitting here i m having this strange, uneasy feeling in my heart, like there are worries or concerns that i can't quite pinpoint or understand clearly,this unknown feeling.

When Aman left, I take my leave to ward too, I was setting in the reception chair,reading the book and highlighting important." Dr sara,do you like what was today in the menu ,that was so blunt, so tasteless, cafeteria contract this not in good hand this time " said nurse Richa "I like the taste though, they are clean and cook food with so much hygiene maybe that's why they got the contract " I answered her." You are right Sara,last year the cafeteria food was so awfully maintained,no proper care, new cook is better " my senior said.
