As Judy and their Pokémon with Bret would be surrounded by the egg, as it would continue to constantly crack beginning to open as the 4 would look in amazed while Judy would have a more confused look... seeing how its structure was different from any Pokémon though it has wings on the egg so it is a flying type in the end as it would throw off the shell of it cracking fully open... as the 5 of them would look seeing Judys newest team member... "Hm never seen one of those hatch from the egg Juds... your father really is something..."
As what stood before them was a rufflet! Before Judy would stare at it tilting there head... he wasn't confused on why it was a rufflet more so..
"Why is it a rufflet... aren't they always male...? Maybe they have an Asexual Reproduction... but.. it doesn't make sense...."
As they were having thoughts Bret would hand them one of their pokeballs as Rufflet would look at them nudging onto Judy as they would take Bret's pokeball.. before tapping it onto Rufflet capturing it... as He felt more happy that they were able to catch another member as Joltik would hop onto Frogadier As Ghastly and Frogadier would be also a bit happy seeing of how they can get a new member to fight. As Bret would remember something!
"Oh right! Mate... there's this prom thingy coming up sooner or later in like.. a week, you wanna go?.."
"...? Why would I...? I don't even have anybody to go to prom with...?"
