It's been seven months since Tanya and Samarth got into relationship
Eshika's initial plan to separate Tanya and Samrath had failed, but her jealousy only intensified. She couldn't stand seeing them happy together, so she concocted a more sinister scheme. This time, she would use the power of gossip to drive a wedge between them, one that they couldn't easily overcome.
It started subtly. Eshika spread small rumors about Tanya and Samrath, planting seeds of doubt and mistrust. She whispered to Tanya's friends that Samrath was flirting with other girls and told Samrath's friends that Tanya was considering breaking up with him.
Over the weeks, these rumors began to take root, growing more elaborate. Eshika ensured that they reached both Tanya and Samrath, each new piece of gossip reinforcing the doubts she had previously sown.
One morning, Tanya overheard a conversation in the hallway that made her blood run cold.
"I heard Samrath has been seeing someone else behind Tanya's back," one girl said.
"Yeah, and apparently, he's been flirting with Eshika too," another added.
Tanya's heart sank. Despite Samrath's assurances, the constant barrage of rumors was wearing her down. She couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal.
That same day, Samrath's friend approached him during lunch. "Hey, man, I've got to tell you something," he said, looking uneasy. "People are saying Tanya's been badmouthing you, saying you're too clingy and she's losing interest."
Samrath's eyes widened in shock. "What? That can't be true."
"I don't know, dude. Everyone's talking about it. Maybe you should talk to her."
The seeds of mistrust planted by Eshika had finally begun to bear fruit. Tanya and Samrath's once solid relationship now felt fragile and fraught with tension.
One afternoon, Tanya and Samrath met up at their usual spot in the park. The atmosphere was tense, and neither seemed able to meet the other's eyes.
"Samrath, we need to talk," Tanya said, her voice trembling.
"Yeah, we do," Samrath agreed, his jaw tight.
Tanya took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I've been hearing things. People are saying you've been flirting with other girls. And Eshika... they're saying you've been seeing her behind my back."
Samrath's face flushed with anger. "What? Tanya, that's ridiculous. You know I'd never do that. But I've been hearing things too. People are saying you've been badmouthing me, that you're getting tired of me."
"That's not true!" Tanya exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes. "Why would I do that?"
"I don't know, Tanya," Samrath said, his voice breaking. "But it's hard to ignore when everyone's talking about it."
The pain in Samrath's eyes cut through Tanya like a knife. "Samrath, please. We can't let these rumors tear us apart."
"Maybe it's not just the rumors," Samrath said, his voice hollow. "Maybe there's some truth to it. Maybe we're not as strong as we thought."
Tanya's heart shattered at his words. "Is that really what you think?"
Samrath looked away, his face twisted in anguish. "I don't know what to think anymore."
The weight of their doubts and insecurities pressed down on them, and they found themselves at an impasse. The trust they had once shared had been eroded by Eshika's malicious gossip.
"I think we need a break," Samrath said finally, his voice barely above a whisper.
Tanya nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Maybe we do."
As they walked away from each other, the pain of their separation was almost unbearable. The next few weeks were a blur of heartache and confusion. Tanya threw herself into her studies, trying to distract herself from the empty ache in her chest, while Samrath immersed himself in sports and extracurricular activities.
Eshika, watching from the sidelines, felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. Her plan had worked. Tanya and Samrath's relationship had been destroyed, and the school buzzed with the latest gossip about their breakup.
But beneath the surface, the consequences of her actions were far-reaching. Tanya and Samrath were left to navigate the aftermath of their broken relationship, each grappling with the pain and betrayal they felt.
As they struggled to move on, one thing became clear: rebuilding the trust and love they once had would be a long and difficult journey, if it was even possible at all.
