A few weeks later, Tanya found herself feeling unusually tired and a bit queasy in the mornings. After a few days of this, she decided to take a pregnancy test. When the result showed positive, she felt a surge of joy and excitement. She knew exactly how she wanted to share this news with Samrath and her best friend Hiya.
That evening, Tanya set up a small dinner at home. She cooked Samrath's favorite meal and set the table with candles and flowers. After they finished eating, she handed Samrath a small, beautifully wrapped box.
"What's this?" Samrath asked, smiling as he unwrapped it.
"Open it and see," Tanya replied, her heart pounding with anticipation.
Inside the box was a tiny pair of baby shoes and a note that read, "We can't wait to meet you, Daddy!"
Samrath looked at Tanya, his eyes wide with disbelief and joy. "Are you serious? We're having a baby?"
Tanya nodded, tears of happiness streaming down her face. "Yes, Samrath. We're going to be parents."
He pulled her into a tight embrace, lifting her off the ground as he laughed and cried at the same time. "This is the best news ever, Tanya! I love you so much!"
The next day, Tanya invited Hiya over for coffee. She had a small gift bag ready for her best friend. As they sat in the living room, catching up, Tanya handed the bag to Hiya.
"What's this for?" Hiya asked, curious.
"Just open it," Tanya said, grinning.
Hiya pulled out a small onesie with the words "Best Friend in Training" printed on it. It took her a moment to process, but when she did, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Tanya, are you...?"
"Yes, Hiya! I'm pregnant!"
Hiya screamed in delight, jumping up to hug Tanya. "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you! This is incredible news!"
As they hugged, Tanya felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and happiness. She had her loving husband by her side, a baby on the way, and her best friend to share in the joy. It was the perfect beginning to this new chapter in their lives.
