Chapter 5

Maddie's pov
It was around 4am in the morning and I was awake, Mark was staying over at my place but he had to leave soon so that Lexie doesn't find out about me and Mark.
Me and Mark had been dating each other for a couple of days, the only one who knew about us was Callie and we wanted to keep it that way just for a little while.

Since Mark and I did kind of confess our feeling for each other we have been either staying in his hotel room or here at my place, we have been hooking up in on call room for three days in a row. It is fun to sneak around and especially when I know what Mark is damn scared of Derek finding out about us.

I was sitting in my bed with the covers over my body and Mark was standing up in the middle of my bedroom with only jeans, it was a really nice sight for me to see.

Mark - why does little Grey have to live her?
Maddie - because she doesn't really have someone, with our her dad it isn't easy but it is getting better with Lexie and Meredith.

Mark - it's not easy for me to sneak out when she's here.
Maddie - could be worse, I could have lived with Meredith and then Derek would be near.
Mark - thank god that you don't live there then.

For the past two days I have been feeling a lot happier, and I guess it has to do with Mark Sloan. Since I now started to date him, I started to realize that he isn't the same type of guy that I thought he was.

Maddie - did you hear that Derek's mom is coming to Seattle?

I have never seen Mark that scared and nervous for the time I have known him, he had a look on his face that just said scared.

Mark - Mrs Shepherd's coming? To Seattle?
Maddie - so?

He took a few steps closer to my bed.

Mark - So that woman practically raised me, taught me right from wrong. If she found out that I was....

He took a seat on the end of my bed as I moved closer to him so that I was sitting right next to him, I was sitting there in his T-shirt.

Mark - ....with you, that we were....you're Meredith Grey's sister, forbidden fruit. You are 32. Young.
Maddie - 30. I finished Med school earlier.
Mark - I feel dirty.

I gave him a kiss on his cheek, he moved his face to my side and we shared a kiss for a few seconds before we pulled apart.

Maddie - you should probably leave now before Lexie wakes up.
Mark - you like that I have to sneak out?
Maddie - yes, it is fun.

He gave me a smile before he got up from my bed and he got dressed with the test of his clothes, about 10 minutes later Mark had left my apartment and I was just laying down in my bed with my laptop since I wasn't tired at all.

General's pov
Shift had started for most of the doctors and nurses a while ago, some of them was busy with work and patients and some didn't have so much to do.

Derek Sheppard had one patient today that he was working on for now, at the moment he was standing by the nurses station and talking to someone on the phone.

Derek - are you in the north terminal? That's where she's supposed to be. No. Don't go anywhere, just wait.

A older woman walked over to where Derek was standing and talking to someone on the phone. The woman came behind Derek and she put her hand on his shoulder, Derek turned around to face the woman.

Derek - never mind I found her.

The older woman was Derek Shepherd's mother.

Derek - there's a town car waiting at the airport.
