General's pov
A few weeks had passed and things seemed normal around the hospital and in Seattle, Derek and Meredith was planing there weeding that would happen soon. Mark and Maddie was still happy with one another, but there was a few people that was having a hard time.
Callie and Arizona was happy together but one problem was there, and that is between Callie and her parents.
Callie's dad isn't a fan of her being a lesbian so her family has shut her down, the only family that Callie can count on is her friends at the hospital.

Maddie was at the hospital and working and she was thinking that today would be a normal day at work, like treating patients teaching interns and resident. Maddie had left the cardio floor a few minutes ago, chief Webber had paged Maddie and he wanted to see her.
As Maddie was heading down to the chiefs office she saw one of her sisters heading the same way as herself.

Maddie - did chief page you as well?
Meredith - yes.
Maddie - that's weird.

Meredith opened the door to the chiefs office and she walked inside, Maddie was right behind her little sister. But when the two Grey sisters walked inside they saw that Lexie was already there as well.

Lexie - hey!
Maddie - you got paged, too?
Lexie - "Report to the chief's office, stat".

The three sisters did thought that this was all weird especially since that they had gotten paged from the chief.

Lexie - what do you think? Why? Why would he page us stat?
Meredith - I don't know. Did we kill anyone lately and don't remember?
Maddie - relax, it's probably nothing too serious. Hopefully.

The three Grey sisters waited in the chiefs office for about two minutes and then chief Webber walked inside of his own office.

Richard - your father is here. He's 29 days sober. Just out of rehab. He's taking it serious. He's working his steps.

Maddie and Meredith couldn't help but give each other a look, they both felt the same way when it is about their father.

Richard - the ninth step is to make amends wherever possible, it's key to an alcoholic's recovery. To take responsibility for the wreckage of his past. I paged you here to ask you to please hear him out. As a favor to me, please hear him out.

Meredith - chief, I'm covering the pit.
Richard - I'll cover it.
Meredith - but there's a trauma.....
Richard - I've got it, Meredith.

Maddie - I have patients to treat.
Richard - I will let Yang cover for you.

Meredith and Maddie shared a look again, and Lexie was looking between her sisters and down on the ground.

Richard - please. Please.

The three Grey sisters watched as the chief opened the door and Thatcher Grey walks inside and chief Webber walks out to leave Thatcher with his three daughters.

Some time  had passed and the three girls was sitting on the couch in her room and Thatcher was sitting on a chair in front of his three daughters. Thatcher had wrote things up in a small notebook that he was gonna read for his girls.

Thatcher - I am so deeply sorry.....for every time that I ever hurt you or disappointed you, or let you down.

Maddie had a hard time looking at her father so she was either looking at the wall or on the floor, Lexie was looking at her father and she did feel really bad for him and then there is Meredith who was looking at her father as well but her face just said cold hearted.

Thatcher - I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I hope.....I so hope that you'll give me the opportunity to earn it.

The room got quiet for less then a minute before Meredith got up from the couch and Maddie could see the look in her little sister's face and how cold she could be.

Meredith - thank you. Congratulations on.....you seem well. Good luck.

And with that Meredith walked out of the room and Maddie got up from the couch as well, and she wasn't totally sure what to say.

Maddie - I'm glad that you are getting better, especially for Lexie's sake.

She gave her dad a small smile before she walked out of the office to leave Thatcher and Lexie alone so that they could have a real father and daughter moment.

Maddie's pov
It was around lunch time and I was sitting and eating in the cafeteria with Callie, she was telling me more about the situation between her and her parents. I haven't told Callie that my father showed up today at the hospital, I haven't talked to anyone just yet  about the situation.

As I was sitting in the cafeteria with Callie, Mark came walking towards us with some lunch for himself. I haven't seen much of him since we came to the hospital this morning, I haven't told him about me, my sisters and my father situation.

Mark - hey, are you okay?

He asked me.

Maddie - yeah, why wouldn't I?
Mark - Derek told me that your dad showed up here earlier.
Callie - wait your dad was here?

I should have known that Meredith would have told Derek and that he then would have told Mark, especially since Mark and Derek are back to being best friends again.

Maddie - yeah, he was apologizing to me, Meredith and Lexie since he is sober now and out of rehab.
Callie - that's good, right?
Maddie - yeah, but it doesn't really affect me or Meredith that much.

The situation with my father doesn't really affect me, and I guess most of the reason is because he hasn't been a father for me since I was around 7 or 8 years old. Thatcher has always been a father for Lexie and i am really happy to see him trying for her.

Lexie's pov
Hours had passed since my dad had showed up and even hours had passed since I talked to Maddie or Meredith, I know that the meeting with our dad wasn't easy and I did expect that Meredith would react the way she did but I thought more about Maddie.

I was walking around on the cardio floor because I wanted to talk to Maddie, it has always been easier to talk to Maddie then it has been talking to Meredith. I love both my sisters but they are different from each other the way they show there feelings.

I walked over to the nurses station on the cardio floor where I saw Maddie standing and she was  filling out what looks like paperwork.

Lexie - hey Maddie! Can I talk to you?
Maddie - of course, what's up?
Lexie - I wanted to talk to you about dad.
Maddie - okay....

I didn't know what to say, but I just feel like I really need to talk to my oldest sister about our dad. But I really don't how to start it all.

Lexie - i thought you would be more understanding with dad.
Maddie - no offense Lexie, but why would I?
Lexie - he is our dad.....
Maddie - I need to stop you right there.

I knew now that I may have said the wrong thing.

Maddie - your dad left me and Meredith, he didn't care about us. And that is something that isn't easy to forget.

I did mess it up, because I could see in Maddie's face that she was mad. I didn't get the chance to say something else to Maddie because she just turned around and walked away from me.
