Indira Giordano's POV:

My alarm rang, waking me up instantly

My alarm rang, waking me up instantly. I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off any remnants of sleep as I sat up straight, my back resting against the headboard of the bed. After blinking a few times, my vision began to clear, and I took in my surroundings. The room started to feel strange, almost entirely unfamiliar. It took me a moment to realise that I was in my dorm room, not the cozy bedroom of my house in Italy.

I sat at the edge of my bed, my bare feet touching the cold floor, sending a shiver up my spine. I slipped my feet into my fluffy slippers and stood up. I stretched my body, feeling the stiffness ease slightly, and then set about making my bed.

I decided to take a quick shower and headed to the bathroom, grabbing my bathrobe and towel on the way.

I turned on the shower tap, mistakenly turning on the cold water. I let out a small shriek as the icy water hit my body and quickly adjusted the tap to the hot water.

"Indira? You okay in there?" Eloise's concerned voice rang out from outside the bathroom.

"Yup! Totally fine. Just uh—" I yelled back, pausing for a second. "I turned on the wrong tap!" I replied. I could hear Eloise's chuckle from outside and looked down at the marble tiles of the shower, feeling a wave of embarrassment.

The hot water soon helped to chase away the chill of the ice-cold water that had poured down my bare body a minute ago.

Man, London is both terribly cold and stunningly beautiful in the autumn.

I took a deep breath as the hot water enveloped me in a warm embrace, melting away the tension from jet lag and muscle stiffness. I felt myself gradually relax.

After about 20 minutes, I stepped out of the shower. I quickly dried my hair and applied some light makeup, trying to cover the mild dark circles under my eyes from staying up throughout the plane journey.

As I walked out of the bathroom, Eloise gave me a reassuring smile, immediately making me feel less embarrassed about the mishap. Her sunny aura always had a way of making me feel comfortable since I moved here.

I walked to my now completely organised wardrobe, picking out a few outfit choices and laying them out on my bed. I ended up going with a pair of blue denim jorts that hung low on my hips, revealing a silver of skin. I paired it with a white tank top and a black, thin, button-up cardigan. I topped it off with my ballet flats, some calf-length white socks, my black shoulder bag and my headphones.
