"Ava Martinez!!!!" My eyes opened to Sofia standing there in an apron and a rolling pin glaring at me. "Girl are you serious right now?"
I rubbed my eyes and sat up "What's wrong with you why are you shouting so early in the morning?"
"Early in the morning? Do you know the time? It's left with 30 minutes for the bakery to open"
"30 minutes huh? Okay..five more minutes" I collapsed back onto the bed and closed my eyes. Sleep really is the best. I was about to slip back to dreamland when something smacked my butt waking me up completely.
"Ava if you do not get your ass up and come and help with opening i'll spank you. You realise the bakery is yours right?" I stared at her while she rose an eyebrow at me. I sighed removing the blanket off me.
I grumbled as i grudgingly got out of bed"Did you have to spank me?"
"Yes...yes i did. Now hurry up and come and help me open up customers will be here any minute" she left the room as i stretched my body to get rid of the tension in my muscles.
I entered the bathroom and stripped stepping into the shower. Since we were running late i spent only 6 minutes in the shower and put on my towel. As soon as i stepped out of the bathroom i was met with....
"Ah! What are you doing in my room?!"
Gabriel smirked and rested his hands on his hips"Buttercup are you seriously shy of me? I bathed with you when we were children you know?"
I rolled my eyes"That's when we were children now we are not so leave my room...immediately"
He laughed"Okay...okay i just came here to tell you i'm going on a business trip, i'll be back next week"
I gasped "Wait....you? You are going a business trip?"
He nodded,smiling"Why...you're going to miss me?"
I shook my head walking towards my wardrobe"I'm actually not but if you're going buy me a souvenir when you're coming"
He tsked"Wow Ava....where did our years of friendship go?"
I smiled and turned to him blowing him a kiss"I love you too Gabriel...close my door on the way out"
He shook his head with a smile"Take care of yourself Ava"
"I will you should also take care of yourself and don't forget my souvenir"
He waved at me smiling and walked out. I smiled and opened my wardrobe picking out a dress to wear. I chose a blue jeans and an off shoulder white top putting them on. I tied my hair into a bun and moisturised my face cause....why not?
After i was done i checked the time and it read 7.47....oh buoy Sofia is going to kill me. I picked my phone and walked out closing the door behind me. As i walked down the stairs i heard Sofia talking with someone on the phone
"Who was that Sofia?" I asked her when i reached the counter where she was standing putting on my apron.
"An order was placed for a party and wedding"
My face lit up"Then what are we waiting for...let's get to work"
"So you knew you wanted to work?" She looked at me with a teasing smile
"Please Sofia....you know me and Mondays have some beef" she laughed and walked to the door turning the sign from closed to open
"Don't i know it. Anyway i'll work on the coffee you go and work on the pastries" I nodded and walked into the kitchen just as the first customers entered the bakery.
I started mixing the batter when a deep voice reverberated through the bakery making me stop in my tracks. Who is that? Curiosity got the best of me and i walked to the door opening it slightly to get a look at the owner of the voice.
As soon as i opened the door i was immediately met with a pair of blue eyes which might i add belonged to the most beautiful man i have ever seen. He was staring right into my eyes and i felt my heart skip multiple beats.
Then i realized i had been openly gawking him and hurriedly closed the door taking multiple breaths. I dont know who he is but whoever he is....he's a fine work of art!. I couldn't resist and opened the door again only to find him gone. Damn.
"Any problem Ava?" She asked with a teasing smile
"Who....who was that?" She shrugged resting her hands on the counter
"Your guess is as good as mine. One thing is for sure....he's not a normal person."
"Not normal how?"
"He has this aura that no normal person has that's what i'm trying to say. It's the first time i've even seen him around here maybe he's new" Maybe "My my Ava what are you thinking about? Intrigued by the mysterious stranger are we?"she asked with a smirk
I felt my cheeks become hot"Of course not...I...I'm going back to baking!" I went back to the kitchen amidst Sofia's laughter in the background.
