The next morning, Cassie was sitting at breakfast in the canteen, enjoying her cup of green tea after she finished her breakfast, when Storm and Jean sat down on either side of her with matching grins on their faces. Cassie looked at her friends and raised an eyebrow in question.

"So..." Started Storm.

"We've heard that a certain someone came to your little musical get-together."  Finished Jean and Cassie sighed.

"I honestly didn't expect that Logan would show up." She mumbled and the two women smirked at each other.

"He likes you." Said Storm. "And you obviously have a thing for him too."

"I don't think so." Cassie shook her head, her cheeks turning to a soft pink tinge which her friends noticed right away. "He's just a giant flirt. And no, I don't."

"So? That doesn't mean he can't like you." Reasoned Jean. "And it wouldn't do you any harm if you enjoyed him a little, too. And yes, you do have a thing for him." She whispered with a suggestive grin. Cassie's jaw dropped and gave her an 'are you serious?' look. "What?"

"I admit that he's rather attractive, but that's all." Cassie defended herself, but her friends looked at her with raised eyebrows, not believing her. "Fine, I have a wild freaking circus in my stomach when he looks at me. But I don't know if I want anything to happen."

"Why? Jean is kind of right." Said Storm. "When was the last time you were with someone?"

"Are you seriously asking me this now?" Cassie asked embarrassed.

"Yeah." Said Storm and Jean at the same time. Cassie sighed and looked around to see if anyone payed them attention.

"Not since Adam." She mumbled. "And anyway, I have terrible luck in choosing someone to sleep with."

"That's not true." Said Jean.

"Oh yeah? Well, let's see. I was with three men in my life. First, there was Pete the weeper, remember? The guy who used to cry every time we had sex?" She started explaining. "Uh, was that good for you?" She fake cried, imitating the man and Jean and Storm chuckled. "Then, there was Harry, the 'I win' guy." She continued, before she lifted her arms a bit, her hands in fists, and in a deep voice said, "I win. I win. I went out with him for two months and I didn't get to win once." They were all now laughing quietly, trying not to raise any attention.

"And what about Adam?" Asked Jean.

"He was cheating on me the whole time." She said and the atmosphere changed quickly, the smiles falling from their faces.

"Cassie..." Said Storm gently. "Why didn't you tell us?" She asked.

"I didn't want to talk about it. I still don't." She muttered. "But I t's been almost two years. I'm over it."

"Well, it might be different this time." Said Jean softly. "I have a feeling that Logan really likes you."

The day went on slowly for Cassie. She finished teaching all her classes a few minutes ago and was cleaning up the classroom when she heard a knock on the door. She looked up from the music instruments and saw Rogue standing in the door. Cassie smiled at her and stood up before she noticed the look in Rogue's eyes. She, of course, knew what had happened last night after she, Logan and the children went to sleep, almost the entire school knew about it.

"Hey. What's up, Rogue?" She asked with a kind smile as she gestured for the girl to come in.

"Umm, I don't know." She mumbled.
