                    "i'm glued to the
                               thoughts in my mind"

JAMIL THOUGHT THAT BEING IN A DIFFERENT CLASS THAN KALIM WOULD BE LIBERATING. oh how wrong he was, azul has been keeping an eye on him since yesterday, and the brown haired boy has had enough. "mister viper. could you help mister harewood?" asked professor vargas, catching jamil's attention. the vice housewarden, stopped. harewood? he had never heard that name. "as you can see mister harewood here, has some difficulties. and i think it would be very good for you to help each other." vargas continued while he had a hand on the shoulder of a familiar boy.

it was the same boy from yesterday. the one that never left jamil's mind, the boy from scarabia could watch the other boy holding the broomstick so tightly that the tips of his fingers were starting to get paler and paler. "of course professor." jamil said as he turned his gaze to the teacher, who let out a smile, patted the white haired boy on the shoulder and walked away. leaving the two in an awkward silence. jamil cleared his throat "jamil viper. i don't think i ever introduced myself properly." said the boy with brown hair.

the other boy's red eyes looked at jamil, making jamil feel as if he were the prey under the predator's gaze "alaric harewood, it's a pleasure. i'm sorry we're in this situation, i tried to convince professor vargas that it wasn't necessary. " alaric said before returning his gaze to the ground. alaric. jamil doesn't remember hearing that name during the last two years. "it's okay. i don't mind helping." it was true, jamil didn't care, especially because he wanted to know more about this boy

alaric nodded before positioning himself on the broom. "first, you need to feel comfortable on the broom. look for balance. don't force it, let the broom become an extension of you." jamil said while riding his own broom. the boy in the scarabia watched alaric close his eyes as his broom began to rise. but he wasn't even a meter high and his broom began to shake, jamil watched alaric's hands grab the broom as if it were something precious. and when he thought it couldn't get any worse, the boy with white hair stood upside down.

jamil flew to alaric, helping him land on the ground "i don't know what i'm doing wrong..." alaric confessed while looking at the ground. this was embarrassing for alaric, as the son of a high ranking knight in the queendom of roses didn't know how to do something as simple as fly. "flying can be complicated at first." jamil said as he approached alaric who was still looking at the ground "let's start from the beginning. first, take a deep breath and relax. the more tense you are, the more difficult it is to control the broom." said the boy in scarabia as he showed alaric how to hold the broom correctly, as soon as jamil went to adjust the posture of the boy in heartslabuyl, he felt how tense the boy was. little by little, alaric began to relax, but something that jamil noticed was that alaric's hands were still shaking.

"let's try again?" jamil asked as he looked at alaric. the white haired boy nodded, still a little unsure. during this time one thing that jamil had noticed was that alaric was not a person who talked much. the heartslabyul boy only responded vocally when necessary. jamil watched patiently as alaric's broom began to rise a few meters, although it was still a little unstable. "very well. now keep your eyes looking straight ahead and balance your weight." jamil said as he flew to the same height as alaric. the heartslabyul boy nodded as he looked at jamil who stood in front of him.

jamil continued to give tips as he flew around alaric. eyes widening as soon as he noticed the rabbit ears that were on the white haired boy's head. "excellent work you both. keep working and you'll soon be a professional, mister harewood!" exclaimed the teacher as he observed the two students before moving on to other students. little by little, alaric began to feel more confident. well, that's until he loses control of the broom and almost falls with his face down on the ground if it weren't for jamil catching him first.

"are you okay?" jamil asked as he landed on the ground. alaric was holding on to jamil's uniform like it was the only thing in the world. "harewood? are you listening to me?" asked the boy in the scarabia again, noticing how pale he was. "oh yes, sorry." alaric said as he dropped jamil's uniform and walked away with his legs still running "i thought i was doing well, but i still made a lot of mistakes." alaric said as he sat down on the dry grass.

jamil let out a small laugh before sitting next to the boy with heartslabyul "it's normal. flying is something that takes time to master. don't be discouraged by your mistakes, try to learn from them." said the boy with brown hair as he watched alaric who was hugging his knees together to his chest. "yeah... you're right." replied the boy with white hair. jamil stood up and extended his hand to alaric. "we better go, harewood. class is over." alaric accepted jamil's hand, then stood up, "alaric. you don't need to call me harewood." said the boy with white hair. jamil suppressed a smile before nodding, then watching alaric walk away towards the school, until he couldn't see him.
