LUNCH TIME MADE ALARIC REALLY HAPPY AND NERVOUS AT THE SAME TIME. in one hand it was good that he wouldn't have to deal with adults for the next hour, but on the other hand he would have to pass through a crowded cafeteria while looking for an empty table for him to sit at. alaric took some time to find the table, but as soon he found one, he put down his food and sat down.
the silence that was at the table didn't take long to end. while alaric was taking a sip from his glass of water, someone decided to sit in front of him. the heatslabuyl boy's eyes went up to the persons face, azul ashengrotto, octavinelle's housewarden, who was also a great swindler. "harewood, i hope you don't mind me sitting here." said the boy with blue-gray hair with a small smile on his face. before alaric could say anything, two other people sat at the table, more precisely one on each side of the white-haired boy, causing him to be crushed between them.
"why the upset face, butterfly fish?~" asked one of the twins as he took alaric's hat off his head and put it on his own. the other person let out a small laugh "i hope floyd doesn't bother you, harewood." said jade while looking with a calm face at the heatslabuyl boy. honestly alaric was trying to restrain himself from punching one of them, or even all of them. "it's okay..." muttered the white haired boy before continuing to eat his food. azul's eyebrow twitched as he noticed alaric's reaction. "so harewood, i couldn't help to notice that you've been getting closer to jamil." azul said while imitating alaric and starting to eat
alaric looked at the octavinelle housewarden, and then at his cup, taking a sip. floyd laughed as he looked at azul, who was clearly upset, "i wish you would at least answer me at least." azul said again, trying to get the white haired boy to say something. "ashengrotto. with all due respect. i don't think it's any of your business." alaric replied calmly while looking at azul. nobody said anything, none of the three were expecting a response like that. i mean, alaric was never a very vocal person during classes. that's why azul automatically assumed that getting information about jamil from the boy with red eyes
floyd let out a loud laugh. "ahah! buttlefly fish you're really funny!~" floyd exclaimed as he pulled alaric closer to him. alaric put an arm between them, trying to create some space between the two. "can you let go of me?" questioned the heartslabyul boy as he tried to get away from floyd, who clearly didn't want to know. "floyd really likes physical contact, i apologize for him." said jade with an apologetic look "hey! don't apologize for me jade." said floyd pouting as he tried to get closer to alaric
JAMIL NOTICED ALARIC AS SOON AS THE WHITE HAIRED ENTERED THE CAFETERIA. scarabia's vice housewarden followed alaric with his eyes, as he tried to hear what kalim was talking about. jamil wouldn't admit it but his mind ended up going back to alaric. "jamil, are you ok? you look a little like you're in the moon." said kalim while looking at jamil. the brown haired boy only realized that kalim was talking to him when he noticed that the housewarden was looking at him more than usual
kalim's attention went to floyd's loud laugh that sounded throughout the entire cafeteria. "floyd seems to be quite happy today." kalim said as he looked at the octavinelle trio, then noticing a person he didn't know among the twins. jamil rolled his eyes, then noticed the discomfort on alaric's face. "alaric doesn't seem to be that happy..." muttered the boy with brown hair, making kalim look at him "do you know him?" questioned the housewarden, making jamil swallow his saliva. jamil didn't want kalim to know alaric, he didn't have a specific reason for not wanting it, just a feeling.
"he's in my class." jamil said while trying to avoid looking at alaric, which was impossible because it didn't matter where he looked, his eyes always met alaric's. "aw... he seems pretty cool." kalim commented while looking at alaric. jamil looked at his watch "we better get going, kalim. otherwise we'll be late again." said the brown haired boy before standing up, kalim pouted but followed his friend. when jamil was about to leave the cafe he couldn't help but look back, looking into alaric's eyes one last time before he went to class
