"Hadley, did you tell him something perverted again?" Devin switched his gaze to the jaw-dropped dog face that couldn't be any less obvious. My protector raised a brow probably wondering why Hadley had such a surprised expression on. He switched his gaze to me again, the action made me lower my head.

God, please don't let Hadley say something stupid.

Hadley scoffed, "Perverted? What do you take me for man? I'm just a little surprised at your little birdy here. He got me there for a second,"

"Care to enlighten me?"

"I'm not sure he would like that," Hadley chuckled playfully, "...better if he told ya,"

My ears contorted into a hot scarlet, cheeks camouflaged another shade of non-existent pink. My stomach veered into assorted summersaults, an attempt to decompress the unorthodox momentum of my thumping heart. His full-fledged eyes—the haunted abnormality in them that got me skyrocketing mentally—had every fiber in my being trembling. I wasn't looking at him but I could feel every inch of that stare. Why did his eyes affect me this much? It...t-this is dangerous...

I felt his breath and then his soft touch, he held my chin between his thumb covered with a bit of dirt, tilting my head up slowly, forcing me to encounter what I was all so trying to bypass.

Did he have to touch me? Did he have to force me to look at him?

All sensations went down-hill. It was pulsing simultaneously with my heart. A small tingle spread through me as he turned me raw with those metallic orbs. The sensation caused a shudder down my arc, biting into my lips and I swear, I caught a redirect of his eyes following them. I must be hallucinating. I didn't even notice Hadley already left our space.

"Noel,"

I flinched, closing my eyes for a second there. I wished our minds were designed to preserve a person's voice so we could replay it whenever we wanted. I loved it whenever his voice dropped an octave, it is mesmerizing indeed. All of a sudden, the place between my legs felt a bit itchy causing frail movements as I shifted foot to foot to ease the growing turmoil.

"Noel, answer me." My protector called once more, my gaze shifting to his again.

"Yes?" My voice sounded ridiculous, a tiny squeak almost like the one our front door makes. Can't I be a bit masculine?

"Are you...excited right now?" Devin switched his gaze to my rear and back up to face me. His brows squeezed as he awaited my reply.

"E-Excited? What do you mean, sir?" I gaped, the pink tint in my cheeks probably turned red.

Devin kept quiet, staring at me as if thinking what to say. He then dropped his hand from my chin before leaning towards my ear in close proximity, "Your manhood is up, look down boy."

I gasped, doing as he said as I looked at my pe-pe standing upright in my loose slacks. I frowned, nearly revolted. What is that? How is that possible? Am I sick?

I was making a whole bunch of expressions in ten seconds trying to figure out the bizarre sensation that has eloped my system. I'm just 17, almost an adult, so why do I feel like bawling my eyes out in front of my protector? A lump made its way to my throat, my eyes blurring instantly as a quiver elapsed. My chin twisting.
