Amidst the fog and the gentle twittering of birds in the wood of a tiny island in the God's Eye, stood Xerneas. Surrounding him, vines and roots intertwined, casting a soft green aura over the entire island. For days, Xerneas had been contemplating a plan to shape the future to his advantage, particularly in response to the rise of the faith militant that opposed him.
Xerneas pondered the idea of creating his own order of knights, warriors who would serve his will and wield the power he bestowed upon them. But finding individuals loyal enough to him proved to be a challenge. Thus, he turned to the magic of the greensers to alter the past, seeking out suitable candidates from birth, whether they were born into slavery or poverty.
Each child chosen by Xerneas was given dreams of training and mentorship under an honorable knight of old, long deceased but remembered as a paragon of virtue and skill. These dreams instilled within them the courage and determination needed to become formidable warriors, fearless in the face of death.
As the children grew, they continued to receive guidance in their dreams from the late green men, who taught them the ways of the green knight and the gods they served. Through rigorous training and spiritual enlightenment, they learned to wield their swords with skill and righteousness, ready to defend the faith of the Old Gods against any who dared to oppose it.
Those who proved themselves worthy by passing the trials set by Xerneas received his blessing, imbuing them with the strength and power needed to fulfill their destiny as green knights.
As the children chosen by Xerneas grew, they became beacons of light wherever they were born, whether as commoners, slaves, or even savages. Their strength and maturity surpassed that of their peers, marking them as special among everyone else.
Even if they were born into slavery, they never failed to break the shackles that bound them. Some fought for their freedom with swords in hand, while others served with unwavering loyalty until their masters showed them kindness and granted them their freedom.
When these chosen ones encountered each other, they recognized their shared destiny. They greeted one another in the old tongue they had learned from their dreams, speaking the words "for the Old Gods" as a sign of recognition and solidarity.
They waited eagerly for the summons, great green men mentors mentioned to them in their dreams of enlightenment. When the first summons came, heralded by the radiant Aurora painting the sky with vibrant hues, they wasted no time in answering its call. Despite the challenges posed by treacherous seas and unforgiving lands, they pressed forward with determination, each step bringing them closer to their destiny in Westeros.
One by one, they arrived in Westeros, their hearts filled with anticipation for the final summon that would unite them as the Knight Order of Yggdrasil. Some chose to follow the green men priests who spread the faith of the Old Gods, while others waited patiently, knowing that their time would come.
Though they possessed the skills of warriors, some of them refrained from wielding swords until the final summon, obeying the will of their mentors and patiently biding their time until the moment was right. And so, as they awaited the gathering that would determine their fate, they stood ready to fulfill their destinies as the chosen champions of the Old Gods.
Yet, they never expected the revelation of a Knight King or High King, Aegon Targaryen, whose name had never been mentioned in their dreams. Only through Xerneas's spreading of the dream of Jon Snow's crowning did they learn of their future king, eagerly awaiting the day they would meet him and join him in building the empire of Yggdrasil.

As Xerneas slowly opened his eyes, the vines and roots that had intertwined with him began to retreat, and the green aura surrounding him grew stronger with each passing moment. With a powerful cry that echoed across the land, every chosen one who had become a green knight in Westeros heard the voice of their deity, causing them to startle before jumping for joy. Some shed tears of happiness, their smiles radiant with joy and anticipation.
In harbors across Westeros, the arrival of knights from distant lands caused a frenzy as hundreds of horses were sold at an alarming rate. Despite the ongoing wars and conflicts plaguing the realm, no one doubted the presence of these foreign knights. Some knights took on common wages during their stay, blending in as travelers or mercenaries, while keeping their true purpose hidden.
But soon, the sudden emergence of a massive force clad in green armor and bearing banners adorned with a tree sent shockwaves across Westeros. Ravens were dispatched to every corner of the realm, spreading news of the arrival of this mysterious foreign army.
