I let out a content sigh as Alastor and I made our way over to the bar. I quickly take a seat as my eyes scan over the crowd. The two of us always made time to head to a jazz bar anytime we had a long day with the three Vee's. This particular jazz bar was one of our favorites. It was small and dimly lit, but the atmosphere was always so lively. The dance floor was always filled up with people dancing from open to close.

Alastor takes a seat next to me, his usual smirk and sly expression on his face as he glances over at me. "You look content tonight, my darling. Enjoying the music?" I hum out in acknowledgment. "You know I can't pass up good jazz music."

He chuckles at my response, his smirk widening. "That I do. You do always light up when you hear music you like though." He motions for the bartender to come over. "You in the mood for your usual tonight?" I nod as I turn around in the chair to face the bar. "Can't pass up my usual either." I grin as I rest my chin on my palm. He grins back at me, clearly amused by my words.

"No, I don't suppose you can. You're too stubborn for that." The bartender approaches us, a welcoming smile on her face. "What can I get for you two?" Alastor's gaze turns to the bartender as he orders for the both of us. "I'll have a bourbon on the rocks. And she'll have a vodka tonic."

My gaze also shifts to her as I see her immediately tense up. As I look her up and down I realize she's a new hire making me chuckle slightly. Everyone is used to our presence here but it's more than clear she was not expecting to see us. I see Alastor's ears flick at the sound of my laughter making me laugh even more.

The bartender tenses up even more as her hands begin to shake. Alastor and I have made quite a name for ourselves down here. We're quite a formidable pair if I do say so myself. Guess she heard the stories.

She quickly composes herself, trying her best to appear calm and professional, but the way her hands are shaking gives away her nervousness. She turns around to begin mixing the drinks, her movements slightly shaky. Alastor grins at the sight, clearly finding amusement in her nervousness. He glances over at me. "Looks like we still have quite the reputation, my darling. Still just as scary as ever."

"Well we are quite the pair wouldn't you agree?" I ask as I sit up straighter. "Good to know the Vee's didn't hinder our reputation." I grin wider. He laughs softly, his ears twitching in amusement. "Oh, darling, those three have absolutely no influence on our reputation at all. We've done more than enough to maintain that ourselves. I'd say we've definitely earned it."

He turns to look at the nervous bartender as she serves us our drinks, her hands still slightly shaking. "Thank you." I say with a smile as I take my drink and begin to sip it. The bartender gives us a shaky smile in response, clearly still nervous in our presence. Alastor takes a sip from his bourbon, his gaze flickering back over to me.

"I have to admit, it's always amusing to see how nervous the newcomers get when they first see us." I nod along as I continue to sip my drink. "Absolutely great entertainment." He chuckles again, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Oh, indeed it is. Seeing their faces when they realize we're here is almost as entertaining as the music itself."

I watch as he glances over at the crowded dance floor, watching the people dancing and enjoying the music. I begin to watch them as well with a small smile on my face.

He continues to watch the dancers on the dance floor, his gaze flickering over the various couples twirling and moving to the music. He suddenly turns his gaze back to me, his expression softening. "Care to dance darling?" I place my drink down on the bar before standing up in front of him with my hands on my hips. "Absolutely." He grins as he stands up, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Let's show these folks how it's done, shall we?" He holds out his hand to me, waiting for me to place mine in his. I eye him for a moment before placing my hand in his and beginning to guide him towards the dance floor. As the current song is coming to an end most of the patrons make a path for us so as to not get in our way.
