(if you're interested in the explanation of this story and not the rest, skip over to the next '🤍' you see)
Am I living in a dream or does this finally mean that this story has come to an end? It feels unreal to me, how just a year back I was collecting ideas and trying to fit them all together to create this very own book you're reading. Yet, here we are, a year later seeing its very own end.
But I won't be here to talk sentimentally for long, I'll just be sharing a few of my emotional events regarding this story and call it quits. Through writing this story I've grown to seek more of my surroundings, and as an individual I've learnt a lot. I've gotten better at my most loved talent (writing) and gotten better as a friend to others including myself. There have been a few dark places, during the writing of this story. If you have read this story from the very first chapters back when I was publishing them, you might remember the small authors note I have written about changing one of the characters names due to the threats and arguments I've received from certain people. In all honesty, that was one of the hardest periods of mine as an author.
I've poured myself into this story, writing off a few characters based on my own experiences and the others from the lovely people who have shared theirs with me, deciding to be a part of this story on their own. I thank those kind souls, dearly and from the heart for inspiring me to write such a lovely story. Curse me for calling it lovely but in my eyes, it's beyond perfection.
To get back to the point, I was devastated with the fact that I had to change the direction in which the story was going including one of the characters personalities completely... Yet, I can say that I've handled the situation quite well and was mature enough to handle my wrongs the way they should have been. And to the lovelies who have been patient and stayed with me (as readers) during those times, I thank you as well. You have my gratitude.
To the lovelies that have read this story to its finish and liked it, you have my thanks coming from the heart. You are true sweethearts and I'm thankful for your support! (◕ᴗ◕✿)

Now I'm gifting you a little explanation regarding the story and a few characters since I have spotted a few of you quite confused with a few things here and there.
'Touch of Fate' was a story I based on real life experiences (as I have mentioned previously, the characters are inspired on real people and carry their story) in which fate has acted as a main character. Some people meet by the intervention of fate and that alone inspired me to write this. As to why I gave it the title 'Touch of Fate' is because at certain times we find ourselves lost in our own little spaces in life and a little touch of fate wakes us and guides us through the obstacle. Now it may not entirely mean that it's true but it's my little reasoning. For example: Felix had never planned on finding a partner once he entered the hotel, he had only planned to get the job and find Minho's brother per plan.
I've also noticed a few of you confused with Minho's actions and character so I'll explain that here too. Minho has never envied Felix nor was he upset with the fact that Felix had found himself a partner, he was upset with the fact that he left everyone he had before his partner in the past for quite some time. Minho felt neglected by Felix, since he went off to break the promise he had made with him and instead fooled around with another person.
Minho is an impulsive but kind character in this story, who doesn't often give himself time to think about his actions and does them out of impulse which he later on realizes was probably not the best option. He held a grudge because Felix had only realized his mistake once Minho had pointed it out himself, not because he envied Felix in any way.
Hyunjin on the other hand, isn't a cheater but emotionally unstable at certain points. For most of his life he had to be perfect and maintain the view of his parents, to which they took away his first love (Jeongin). Hyunjin had no intent on cheating in any part of the story, he just holds that kind of flirtatious personality.
Jisung is a special character for whom I originally had an idea to become a spirit of fate himself but decided against it because I thought of it as unfair due to the happiness he felt in the final chapters. The original ending to this story wasn't exactly meant to be a happy one though I decided last minute on it.
With all of that aside, a big thanks to you all for reading through this story and authors note. It means a lot to me when you comment or even read through the story, I'm not the kind of person to beg for votes or anything like that so don't feel pressured. Read through the story with ease, and as you do, I'll be here hoping you like it. And to those who haven't, I'm sorry that it didn't seek your expectations :(
Any thoughts on this story or something you'd wish to say?
Goodbye, my lovelies. See you soon! I'll be looking through the comments every now and then so don't be surprised if I answer a few~
(I'll be writing a new story soon so if you're interested you can either follow me to get the notification or check in a few weeks if I have published anything)
