Felix sat at the bench, still sobbing over the previous event. Sniffling softly every few seconds, as he kept wiping his tears away with the long sleeves of his shirt. But to his luck, no matter how much he tried to stop himself from crying, the more tears he shed.Felix felt disgusted with himself, thinking about how selfish he really had been. Minho had hope in him, Minho had trusted him yet he shattered all of it within seconds. Felix had no one to blame but himself, and he was well aware of that. But even so, he couldn't help but think of all the circumstances involving Minho's 'real' brother.
'Was I really in the wrong for wanting to protect Minho?' Felix thought, but the more he did the emptier the feeling in his chest grew
'I really am an asshole. I don't even deserve to be called his brother.' Felix repeated in his head dozens of times
Enough to make him sob uncontrollably, his cry getting louder as he kept his face in the palms of his hands. With that he didn't notice the man running in his direction-
Changbin was taking a night stroll, running a few blocks away from his house as he always did. He enjoyed the silence each night brought along, due to that he wasn't used to people being out at this hour. He made his way through a park, noticing a person crying at a bench near him. His expression quickly turned into a frown upon realizing who the person was.
He decided to approach Felix gently, "...Felix?" Changbin asked softly as he rested his hand on Felix's shoulder
Felix looked up at Changbin with teary eyes, almost as if he was pleading for comfort. "What's wrong buddy?" Changbin asked once more
Felix broke out into a cry, "I'm a bad person. So bad that I don't even deserve to breathe."
Changbins eyes widened, "Of course you deserve to, Felix. Why are you talking in such a way?"
"My brother, I lost my brother... A person who's dearest to me." Felix replied
"As in you got into an argument...?" Changbin questioned
"I wish it was just that. I really do. He told me to forget about him, and it's all my fault." Felix said
"Hey... Bud, you know that it's normal to have fights with your siblings? I'm sure he'll forget about it in a few days, it's just how siblings work."
"No. You don't understand... What I did is unforgivable. I sabotaged everything... All because I didn't want him to get hurt and because well, I didn't want to lose him. Though I ended up losing him in the end anyway. Stupid, isn't it? I'm stupid." Felix forced a chuckle at the end
Changbins gaze softened as he wrapped Felix into a hug, "I don't know what happened but I'm here to listen. I won't tell a soul, so feel free to open up. I can tell that you need it." Changbin smiled at Felix who just smiled back and nodded before explaining to him what happened
"That does sound bad I'm not going to lie, but it's also not something that is impossible to fix." Changbin replied
"You really think so?" Felix's eyes locked with Changbins
"Only those who give up on the people they care for, are those who end up losing them entirely. He's your brother, adopted or not. You two lived together, I doubt that's something either of you can forget so easily. Besides, I'm sure that through time he'll understand your side of the story. Be patient and keep your promise. Help him from a distance, I'm sure he'll appreciate it." Changbin advised
Felix chuckled, "You really sound more like a therapist than Seungmin does. Changbin, you're really mature."
"I've heard that one a lot." Changbin smiled "I hope I helped in a way."
Felix nodded with a smile, "Of course you did. I feel a lot better now, thank you."
"Anytime. By the way, it's getting late. Need a walk home?"
"That would be nice." Felix said
Changbin walked along with Felix to his apartment giving him a warm smile before Felix entered his apartment and closed the door behind him.
Felix sighed, thinking about calling Hyunjin and telling him about what happened but he felt too exhausted to talk about it. He also feared that Hyunjin might view him differently if he heard about what he had done. Felix then quickly decided against it, thinking to himself how it was something that he needed to deal with on his own.
So Felix laid down on his couch, staring up at the white ceiling before drifting off into a slumber full of nightmares.
On the other side...
After Minho's argument with Felix, he rushed to his apartment. Angrily throwing his stuff onto the floor, before he sat down at the dining table where he had noticed snacks that he hadn't bought previously. "Ah so that's where he was, at my place. Of course, that little shit head." Minho spat out as he tossed the snacks in the back of his cupboards in order to not look at them
Tears started forming in his eyes out of frustration which he felt. He wanted to burn everything around him but kept himself under control. That's when he grabbed the whiskey from his kitchen table and sat down, chugging multiple glasses of whiskey down his throat before getting completely wasted.
He was still seated at the kitchen table, one of his hands placed on his forehead as the other played with an empty glass of whiskey. Minho was lost in thought and as a picture of Felix flashed in his mind, a small tear ran down his cheek. "Jisung..." Minho pleaded
"Please get me out of this hell Jisung-ah. You're the only one who can." Minho said before passing out
A moment later Jisungs contact name popped up on Minho's phone screen. He had called Minho more than five times with no response. This made Jisungs anxiety rise up, not knowing what to do.
"Maybe he's asleep...? But he'd be awake by now, considering how many times I had called him already." Jisung said looking at Minho's contact name
"I don't even have his address. Gosh, he's driving me insane." Jisung said to himself
Jisung tried to convince himself that Minho was okay and just fast asleep. Which was enough for Jisung to fall asleep soundly on the silk sheets of his bed.
