Y/N would find himself at Twilights library home, away from the hustle and bustle of the party the rest of Ponyville was having. He would quietly open the door. Finding nobody else within, he closes the door behind him. No lanterns were lit, but the light from outside was enough for him to see what he was looking for, though he had to avoid touching the rays of light. He would search the shelves that lined the main room of the library, looking for what he could on the subject of vampirism.

Y/N: "Hm.. there may not be many works on it.. here."

The undead pony would reach up and grab a book. "Vampires, Lords of the Undead" seemed promising. Once he opened it however, it seemed to just be a storybook. The tucked it under his wing for later, if he ever found himself bored with nothing to do. Another moment of searching allowed him to find a book bound in blood-red leather, an iron star embedded in the center of the cover. "Sanguinare Vampiris, What to do" seemed to be an even more promising lead on his condition. He opened the book and flipped through it, when satisfied he found himself a quiet corner where sunlight would not hit, and began to read.
It had already been an hour before Y/N realized how long he has been reading, he decided to recount what he had learned so far. Greying/Paling of fur, darker mane, unnatural eyes, supernatural strength, unknown magic, and a thirst for the blood of living creatures. Y/N had all but one of these Symptoms as far as he knew, the thirst for blood. He has felt the need to feed not once after waking up in that cottage, not even in the evergreen forest, to which he felt a strong connection to for some reason.
He would get startled out of his thoughts as a door opens, he would close the book and hide himself within what dark space he could find. Twilight and spike had just gotten home from the party, she seemed tired and somewhat worried about something.

Twilight: "I don't get it spike- A vampire? Is that all that doctor could come up with??"

Spike would be snacking on a cupcake from the party, swallowing the mouthful of food within his maw before speaking.

Spike: "I mean? What would you come up with? You heard twilight, he didn't have a pulse and he wasn't breathing- how can he still be well- alive?"

As Spike tosses the rest of his food into his mouth, Twilight would sigh, sitting at the desk that was by a window. She Didn't want to believe it, but maybe they were right.

Twilight: "Well, whatever the case, I sure hope he's alive and well out there. I mean you weren't awake for it but the Evergreen forest was brutal. If I didn't have everyone there with me I wouldnt've survived half the time we all did. That reminds me! Spike, write a letter."

Taking advantage of the distraction that was Twilights royal report, Y/N would don his hood and quietly head outside, once out he holds the book under his wing. He should find a place to stay for the night, the Evergreen seemed like the best bet since not much sunlight gets through the canopy of trees, and he may have more time to himself.

Though in Y/Ns mind, things would definitely ger more interesting here on out.
